DoubleTree by Hilton LAX - El Segundo recensioner

We booked two double bed room. On day 1 the room had two complimentary drinking water bottles . On day 2 they refused to give another two bottles stating the refill is available for Hilton Honours Gold members only . Find this very strange since all hotels have policy of giving free drinking water bottle refills for each day of stay.

The room was clean and a front woman was so kind. We are not English native speakers but she spoke easily for us. And gave us delicious cookies:)

Construction was being done. The gym wasn't available. The top sheet of my bed was dirty and they didn't replace it.

I'd rate this a 6 because - the driver from the hotel shuttle was pretty rude - the hotel room wasn't clean per se - you could notice certain stains on sheets and towels

The room was old but spotless. The airport shuttle pickup from LAX failed to show so I’m taking one point off service.

Good hotel. Being a Hlton, autimatic!

It’s not exactly close to the airport and the some staff were not so friendly while some were. There were weird visitors checking in that I wondered if they were on *****. but there wasn’t much noise and I had a good sleep overall bearable for a one night stay. Also hilton cookies yum as usual.

Spacious room. Very well kept. Had the tub in the bathroom and loved it. Only problem was there's no hotel shuttle to the airport.

Unfortunately I had to change rooms twice! The first room was next to a noisy ventilation/ac machine, I did not even unpack my case. The receptionist kindly moved me to another room, in fact it was more like an upgrade. I unpacked and I had half a pizza from early on. I had put it on the side next to the tv. I went to get a slice and the whole of the tops of the cabinets had ants all over it. I had to get out of that room. They gave me a complimentary breakfast for the next morning. They obviously have an ongoing problem because they have other reviews exactly the same as this.

Overall not good experience. I can always smell smoke, I even found others’ water bottle and underwear under the bed. I was skeptical whether they have really done the cleanings or not…… speechless…….

Fine hotel. Nothing special or fancy, a decent place to sleep between flights. The only complaint would be no shuttle to and from airport, so it cost ~ $50 for transport back and forth from LAX
