We are close to the settlement but in a peaceful, private setting. The home features a private dock w/ dingy provided for harbour use, wifi, Streaming TV, A/C, and backup generator power. This home can accommodate up to 7 people with use of the sleeping nook and half bath. If your party contains more than 7 people, you'll need more space than Gully's Nest provides. It is the last lighthouse in the world that is still manually operated. There is a wonderful museum in the settlement full of artifacts and information of how the island was settled by Carolinian's who came here after the revolutionary war to stay loyal to the queen. You can reserve an "island hopping tour" with us or rent a boat and go exploring our neighbor islands and appreciate each one for their own independent charm or go to one of our national sea parks and snorkel over the colorful reefs full of sea life. This was the first home situated on this secluded stretch of White Sound beach, built in 1982. The home and its grounds have been maintained and updated periodically and, since its construction, has been fit with all the modern amenities, including a backup generator. Over the years, time and storms have pushed the shoreline closer and closer to the property, offering uniquely spectacular views from the front porch. The property is situated perfectly between the charming village of Hopetown and the serene white sands of Tahiti beach, with bars, restaurants, and shopping in between. Although this is a walker's paradise, the island is dominated by golf carts - which is not currently included with the house but can be rented from a number of nearby companies. The 2nd level of St. Somewhere is a surrounded by windows, offering a 360 degree views of the island and its beauty.
