Acrotel Athena Residence

I cannot update my previous review for this hotel Athena Pallas so I’ve come here to update my previous 3 star review and concerns as we are now on this part of the hotel site Having spoken to the manager on site after writing my review and further concerns voiced I I have to say that our concerns have been listened to and I have felt valued as a customer The food is now hotter and we have seen staff going down to see how the food is at meal times which they need to see rather than listen guests feedback We have been changed rooms which has been a lovely end to our holiday with sunshine on our patio and we thank Desi for this who has been so responsive to our feedback This is a lovely hotel with great facilities especially for families who I doubt see a lot of what is on offer and we have found in searching out towel exchange and other areas on the site I cannot fault the staff who are all so helpful and friendly and made our stay easy in many ways Please keep up the better food options

Stayed in A14 it was clean, homely and a perfect size. The location is stunning and every member of staff was very kind and friendly. The breakfast buffet was brilliant fresh omelettes loads of fresh fruit i could go on and on. We eat most nights in Limone and the food was lovelly and welcoming friendly staff. I would 100% recommend Acrotel on my experience and hope to return to this or another of your resorts in the future.

I stayed here and it was out of this world. On arrival we were greeted by super friendly and helpful staff, who directed us to our room A22. The room was a beautiful maisonette and it was spotlessly clean, with a loved added touch of Elemis bathroom products. The complex is so beautiful and well kept with plenty of space around the pools. The staff were all very friendly and ensured we had a wonderful stay. I don’t even know where to begin with the restaurants and food…speechless. The food was amazing and so beautifully presented…and in abundance! Lemoni for lunch is perfect and in a beautiful setting, with a menu to suit everyone. Dionysos for evening was simply outstanding. The chefs and all staff were so passionate about the food and wine, which really made the experience so special, I cannot recommend it enough. Sitting in the bar watching the sunset is an absolute must, simply breathtaking. There is a shop on site was well stocked with a wide variety of products, snacks, gifts and clothing. I cannot wait to return to this little paradise again. I would absolutely rate this as a strong 10/10

We arrived with expectations considering the five star rating. Everything proved to be a disappointment. On arrival the reservation was wrongly processed. After clarifying the situation and being overcharged we checked in to a badly decorated suite. The toilet was not functioning properly and when we contacted house keeping they were unable to fix the problem. The breakfast buffer was rich in inedible choices. Highly recommended to keep away.

I had an excellent stay at the Acrotel Athena Residences. The Residences are self contained split level maisonettes that can sleep two adults and up to 2 children or teenagers in separate areas. They have their own direct access to a private pool area and private gated entrance to the sister property of the Athena Pallas next door where they can dine and use all other communal facilities. The staff are so friendly and we received excellent service throughout. I highly recommend the Residences for a quieter and intimate stay. The Athena Pallas offers Greek Cook Classes and nightly greek entertainment so there is plenty to do and see. The beach is accessed by a steep staircase with amazing views of the penisular of Halkadiki. I loved my stay and sure you would to. Could not fault anything

Clean, nice, somewhat elegant, great compound. However, for the 5stars they boast: - toiletries - a onetime wonder. If anyone can imagine a family of four can go through a one-week-beach-vacation on one (or two) mini (hotel size) bottle of shampoo/conditioner/bodylotion, this is the place to go for; - housekeeping has odd hours - cleaning was done at around 4pm (:)))) ), due to the fact that they have too many rooms (maybe too little staff... !?); not the place to take an afternoon nap. Explain this to your kids; - many restaurants (3 or 4 maybe), but most look empty - so, it's either you do the buffet or the main a la carte (prior reservation); overpriced for average/decent food; we had prepaid half board, so the only option was the traditional a la carte (small menu, somehow food seems better in the regular local tavernas). Main thing: friendly smile does not equal good (read decent) service. For one dinner you get to be waited on by 4 different people, which translates into a mini chaos. Appetisers or entrees are served in whatever order the wating staff sees fit, not everything you order shows up on the table (despite the reassuring smiles). So, it is a gamble: either you get everything in 30 mins (check included - yes, bar and some dishes are not covered by the half board) or you get the steak before your appetiser and wait 40 mins for the check. Oh, and one more thing, it looks like litterally every waiter waits (ha-ha) for the patron to remove the usless square up-pointing rounded corners plate from the table sa they can put down the actual dish. On the positive side: - grounds, pool are very nice; - breakfast buffet is very good (except for the coffee); - reception try their best to solve all complaints and requests; - good quality toiletries (though insufficient); - underground passage tobthe beach is a cool and useful feature; Oh, and for the record, we went for the more 'upscale' section of the resort.
