Ellerby Country Inn

We visited Ellerby Country Inn during our stay at Whitby. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff so friendly and helpful. We both had the steak pie which was delicious. This was a really lovely experience! We can't recommend it enough. A really friendly place.

A beautiful pub in a beautiful setting. Staff very friendly. Everyone welcome including our dogs. Amazing food for reasonable prices. Menu was vast and catered for everyone. Even for the fussiest of eaters. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Wonderful and very welcoming hotel . From the minute we arrived until a friendly cheerio this was the find of our touring holiday around England . We booked on line as didn’t want to stay in busy Whitby , on arrival we got a friendly welcome and check in from Jamie . He checked us in , took us to our room , booked us a table and just seemed to go that extra mile to make us feel welcome . Food was great and we managed a drink in the lovely garden prior to meal . Would highly recommend this wonderful hotel, if in the area give it a go , you will not be disappointed. Staff 10/10 , hotel 10/10 , all round 11/10 . Shall return .

Sometimes all we want in life is the basics done well. Our b and b in Witney had stood us up (we booked, but no one there when we arrived) so this place got our custom. Very pleased that happened. The manager or owner welcomed us late at night and made sure everything was okay. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was excellent. Then we were on our way. Could not have wanted anything more. Except sunshine……..

Went at lunch time. Food and service was outstanding and staff so very friendly. 2 of our party had steak pie with fabulous chips mushy peas and gravy - delicious. One had sea bass - beautiful, and I had prawn salad - very very tasty and the fresh fruit in the salad was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend.

Enjoyed a one night stay with Fri to join my dad for a celebratory meal Lovely comfortable room Breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal. Staff did need to be reminded to top up the beer though but didn’t take away from the lovely time we had

Very happy to have stayed at the Ellerby Country Inn with my fiance, beautifully located in the Yorkshire landscape. We stayed at the inn for 4 nights. The room was clean and tidy and we even had a small outside area. The room got tidied every day. Plus a new assortment of tea, water and cookies everyday. At breakfast you get to choose anything from the menu and/or from the breakfast table, the portions are very generous. I will definitely miss the English breakfast. We stayed in for diner one night, which also tasted great. The staff was very kind and made us feel welcome. We are going to recommend the Ellerby Country Inn to our friends and family. If we will return to the area we will book the Ellerby Country Inn again if possible.

Everything about the Ellerby was perfect. In particular the friendliness and professional of the staff and attention to detail throughout the hotel made our stay truly memorable. The menu and food were excellent. Highlights were the cheeseboard and breakfast. I can highly recommend the Ellerby and we are already planning our return trip.

The food & drinks are excellent! Great value for money, quality is perfect. Such friendly & attentive staff, great with dogs, would highly recommend. Would definitely return & would definitely book an overnight stay. Very near Staithes , definitely worth going for Sunday lunch
