From the off, the sink took 5-7 mins to empty after running the water, e.g. washing hands, cleaning teeth, rinsing tea cups. Two days on and the sink had not emptied overnight, so when I left the hotel at 9.30am I asked Reception if they could please get someone to sort it out. I got back just before 2pm and was told by Reception that it was done, although they would not say if something had been ****** up from the sink or poked down. Perhaps it is a recurrent problem. During my first shower, I wanted to adjust the height of the shower head holder via the slider as it was far too high for me. As I did so, the whole assembly came away from the wall; I thought this was quite dangerous as it could have hit me on the head or made me slip in the shower. From then on, I just laid the shower head across the shower taps instead of trying to slot it into the shower riser and causing it to fall forward. There was no door on the freezer compartment of the fridge. Also, the rack that holds the bottles at the bottom of the door kept coming off, so I could only use that rack for light items. There were only four clothes hangers in the wardrobe. There was a kettle and a tea tray under the mirror on the ‘dressing table’ area. However, where the tray was positioned, there was not a socket close enough to plug in the kettle. So I moved the tray to the end of the surface so that it would reach the nearest socket, only to realise that the end of the surface was unsupported underneath, making the surface slope down, quite dangerous with a kettle of boiling water on it! I did leave the tray at the end where it could reach the plug (where the blue bag is in the photo) as I did not want to be constantly moving a kettle of hot water, but I was very aware that the level of the surface was dropped and was also unsupported. The toilet seat/lid was a very thin plastic one. The lid would not stay upright unless I pushed against it with both hands at the bottom for a few seconds (yuk) otherwise it would just keep falling forward against my back (again, yuk). The toilet flush had to be pressed a second time after flushing to stop the water in the cistern from running, i.e. the water did not stop automatically when the toilet was flushed. The air con unit was reasonably quiet in the room and worked well. However, it was incredibly noisy out on the balcony when running, so that if I wanted to cool the room down for a short while whilst I sat on the balcony, it was impossible to do so due to the noise. There were a lot of tired and worn areas in the room, such as the bottom of the bathroom door, which looked like it had been chewed by a puppy. It needed a bit of a refresh, really. My room was on the first floor – there was no lift, but the stairs had a turn with a landing, which made it easier to get my suitcase up and down the stairs. However, my room seemed to be on a kind of service corridor: there was certainly a lot of activity up and down the corridor from quite
