Embudu Village Maldives

This was my 3rd time visiting Embudu and again it did not disappoint! I had the same room as last time #74. I requested this before coming and that was granted :) Snorkeling was amazing, I saw turtles 5 out of 9 days with a few long encounters, very special! Spotted an Eagle Ray at the drop off, a group of cute cuttlefish and all of the regulars! It was a fish soup! Service again was great, both at the bar and the restaurant and my room”boy”. Food was also very good! I had a wonderful stay and I am sure I will be back again some day!

We have just returned from an 11-day holiday in Embudu, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the unforgettable experience we had in such a breathtaking place, surrounded by wonderful people. The island is truly astonishing: the tropical forest is home to white-breasted waterhens, reef herons, fruit bats, iguanas, and more. The underwater life is just as beautiful. Snorkelling—even close to the shore—allows you to admire hundreds of different fish, and the house reef is easily accessible to everyone. The resort staff are always smiling, supportive, and kind. I didn’t dive myself, but my husband, my youngest daughter, my nieces and nephews, and my brother-in-law did, and they were absolutely thrilled. For my nieces, nephews, and brother-in-law, this was their 10th trip to the Maldives, yet they were still deeply impressed by Embudu. Thank you for this truly memorable holiday!

Embudu Village, what an absolute gem of an island…. We stayed for 10 nights from 9th May, the island is beautiful with crystal clear waters, white sands, lush trees with vibrant birds, lizards, bats, then underwater, quite possibly, the most beautiful reef I have ever seen. The experience of snorkelling with Octopus, Eagle Rays, Nurse Sharks, Stingrays, Reef Sharks, Turtles and about a million fish, in the stunning coral setting was simply breathtaking and I feel very privileged that they shared their home with me for so much of my time there. The food was varied and plenty of it, as were the drinks. Our beach bungalow was spacious & comfortable. The Diverland guys are great, highly recommend Stingray City. The back massage at Serena Spa was incredibly relaxing. For us the staff at the bar made our trip even more magical as did our waiter… A perfect place to have shared our 25 years together ❤️

Unforgettable Stay ️ From the moment we landed in Malé, the Embudu Village experience began with warmth and professionalism. A member of the resort staff was waiting at the airport, ready to assist us with everything we needed — including helping us grab a coffee before our speedboat ride. This set the tone for what would be an unforgettable stay. Arriving at the resort felt like stepping into a postcard — a privately-owned island with endless shades of turquoise water, soft white sands, and pure tranquility. We didn’t even have to worry about our luggage — it magically appeared in our superior beach villa before we even noticed. The food was a highlight! Each night had a different theme, keeping things exciting and delicious. Every second night featured live music with various bands, and Sundays brought in a DJ that really added to the tropical vibe. A special mention must go to the barmen at the bar and bar terrace — they were truly exceptional. We had the all-inclusive package, and they made every effort to ensure my husband, our adult daughter, and I were cared for. Their friendliness and attention to detail made every drink feel special. The staff throughout the resort — from housekeeping to reception, waiters, and the lovely team at Serena Spa — were consistently warm, welcoming, and professional. We highly recommend visiting the spa right after you arrive. We had a relaxing couples’ massage that was just what we needed after the long journey from Jersey (Channel Islands). Our daughter enjoyed a Balinese massage, complete with a lovely matcha tea afterwards. Yes, the spa treatments are a bit of a splurge (around $100 for a 60-minute massage), but honestly, worth every penny for the quality and care provided. And then — the cherry on top. On our final day, the team moved us to a water villa free of charge so we could enjoy our last hours on the island in true comfort, even after checking out of our beach bungalow. It was an unexpected and generous gesture that meant the world to us. We are deeply grateful for such an unforgettable holiday and the kindness of the entire Embudu Village team. We stayed in mid June 2025. It's a family trip of 4. The 3 night stay was absolutely fantastic. All three meals were Buffet with a wide spread from starters, to mains to a variety of deserts. The food was fantastic with a mixed variety ranging from different continents. Kudos to Chef Malin and his team. We stayed in a Water Villa with a glass bottom. The rooms, the beaches and the full island is clean and well maintained. Great place snorkeling with a nice beach. The front office manager Mr Rasheed was very helpful and the staff is courteous and helpful. A big thanks goes to Mr Ramsey Perera for making our stay a memorable one.

ONLY ONE WORD DESCRIBES THIS WE WERE ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY BY THE FABULOUS ISLAND.THE ROOM NUMBER 75 AS THE MOST AMAZING VIEW THAT MADE OUR HOLIDAY FROM THE START,OUR BED WAS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL DONE FOR OUR ANNIVERSARY AND BEAUTIFUL FRUITE AND CAKE FOR US .THE STAFF ARE AMAZING AND TREAT YOU SO SPECIAL,THE FOOD ,DRINKS ,SNACKS AND ALL THE RESTRANT AND BAR STAFF ARE AMAZING. THE ROOM IS CLEANED EVERY DAY AND OUR CLEANER WAS AMAZING,NOTHING WAS TO MUCH TROUBLE,THE DOLPHINE TRIP IS REALLY GOOD SND FABULOUS TO SEE THE SUNSET ,ALSO THE SPA IS A DEFINITE YOU MUST GO THERE THE TREATMENTS ARE THE BEST ,ALL THE STAFF ARE ALL SO LOVELY A BIG SHOUT OUT TO SANTOS BAR STAFF A SPECIAL FRIEND ,HOPE TO SEE YOU NEXT YEAR .THE MOST PERFECT HOLIDAY IV HAD ,EVEN ON LEAVING THE MANAGER WAVES YOU OFF ,THIS AMAZING ISLAND IS THE BEST LOVE ANDREW & KAREN XXXXX
