Jinding Hotel

Not worth the price. Let me start with the good: There were some thoughtful details in the room — little boxes with local area prints for toothbrushes, nice soap, and complimentary green tea. The receptionist during check-out was kind and helped with directions. Breakfast was fine, though we preferred the tasty and cheap street food nearby. But the overall experience did not match the price: 1. Wrong location on Trip.com. This hotel is listed in the wrong spot — we ended up at a completely different building. When I told the receptionist, he just said: “I know, you could ask someone “ 2. No replies in chat. I messaged in English, no answer. When I called to ask for location, they only spoke Chinese. But later they asked for a good review (in English) 3. At check-in, the receptionist stared at my passport and asked where my visa was — it felt uncomfortable. And priority to check-in is for Chinese people, as they can directly say what they need, not type in translator like us. 4. We paid almost double for a “panoramic” room, but the windows were dirty, and the view was just trees and a police station, not the mountains. 5. Old bathtub, moldy curtain, and a toilet button that stuck — we had to fix it manually. 6. The mattress was awful — thin and full of poking springs. It felt like we paid extra for some printed boxes. 💭 How many meaningful souvenirs could we have bought instead? Definitely will be back to the area but not in this hotel.

The location of the hotel is very good. Just straight after we left from the cable car station exit. Dave a lot of energy to walk further with the luggage. Although it is very old, but clean and facilities are all very complete.

Excellent location and spacious room. I had the room with panoramic view of the gorgeous sunset and sea or cloud. Bathroom comes with heated floor that is nice in cold weather. However there is a slight smell and the shower curtain in the bathroom had massive amount of mould.

The location is absolutely amazing, but that's about it. An outdated hotel with very unfriendly front staff, at least on the day of arrival. We asked for two cups for coffee and two glasses for wine and we received just a rude answer: "No!". No other explanation, nothing. Some Chinese guests witnessed this and they came to our aid. We managed to get two simple glasses. The room was very dirty, with hair on the bed, in the bathroom and on the room floor. The water was barely flowing at the bathtub. It is way overpriced, just because it's on top of the mountain, but service and cleanliness needs a lot of improvement.

Good location. Staff service can be improved. Food can be improved.

Staff is helpful. Looks very run down. But for that price at Jinding, couldn't ask for more.
