Emeishan Gelaiya Resort recensioner

Me and my partner stayed at this hotel, but the experience was really disappointing. The place didn’t look like a hotel at all — more like an apartment complex next to a retirement home. The advertisement promised a mountain view, but our room faced the retirement home instead. The photos were clearly photoshopped. The listing also showed a nice resort area with cafés, but when we asked the staff, she told us it is not available and it under work . At around 12:30am, we were woken up by really loud banging and heavy footsteps for almost an hour that was the one thing about this hotel that made me really disappointed .It scared us and made it hard to sleep. The next morning, breakfast was very limited, and we even saw cockroaches near the food, which put us off completely. Overall, the false advertising and the poor experience left us very upset and disappointed

The room is big. Close to baogao temple and tourist center. More like apartment complex

Staff was very friendly, but I have to say that the stay was mediocre. There room itself was nice, but there were several issues: From an AC that I needed to use for heating (horrible air quality). The gym is a joke - you should not advertise that at all. And the outdoor pools you can see on pictures was also closed. It was ok for a quick stay, but I would not go there again.

It is a bit run down but it suits your needs. I was on the 4th floor and didn't find it that nice in the sense that a mosquito still flew in and bit me during the night (you could hear it in the room). And because there's no solid wall separating you from the living room (there's just a shelf), there wasn't any way to effectively shut the mosquito out. The night porridge also came with a piece of hair in it so from that point on, I stopped asking for the nighttime porridge. The staff are not that nice and are actually quite rude. For example, the lady who made my milk tea and most of the front-desk staff with the exception of one. I have to shout out the shuttle driver; he was so incredibly friendly and really made me feel welcome, while everyone else made me feel like a hassle. My Chinese isn't that great but I try my best, and the lady who made the free milk tea acted like a burden when I asked her to repeat things and didn't even bother explaining what it was. They are not that friendly over WeChat either compared to other hotels I've stayed at. Again, I have to shout out the shuttle driver. I never got his name but he was so cheerful and nice. He also helped unclog the toilet several times; not sure if there was some kind of plumbing issue but it clogged almost every single time and so I unfortunately called him a lot. But he was so patient and helpful every single time and he is the highlight of my stay. Everyone else should adopt his attitude rather than being cold over the WeChat customer service support chat, or basically shouting at you because you are having trouble understanding the free milk tea options.

Great apartment. The staff will help with luggage to your room and you can reserve a pickup from emeishan station. We also were able to store luggage overnight for a stay at the Emeishan summit and come pick it up the next day.

The word resort it’s not right as it’s more like a serviced apartment where there are a lot of apartment buildings but managed by different hospitality managers. Not easy for non Chinese background tourists as mentioned there are lots of hospitality managers for different companies due to the vast amount of apartment complexes. Got lost for breakfast as we went to the wrong hospitality manager. I would say good for local or tour groups to stay or ppl with no young children below 12 and no elderly in the family pool.

Very nice service and happy with hot spring, saw a beautiful flowers too.

I booked a 9 pax family room before travelling to Emeishan. The family room is wide and equip with necessities. A big thanks to the customer service whom assist to arrange our huge luggages on the check in night and the next morning even though it was a rainy day. She also came to fetch us to the hot spring, a warm night porridge as supper which brought us a pleasure moment on the night.

Very friendly, thoughtful and responsive customer services. Clean room and comprehensive amenities. It was the best hotel I ever stayed in Sichuan, China.

Location is ok. Can take a didi to emei train station and food street in 5 mins. Very quiet environment. Love the heated toilet seats too

Not what I expected. It's like a residential complex which has been turned into a hotel/resort. The room what very comfortable. Fancy toilet, nice shower, washing machine and a place to sit and read. I didn't get my mountain view, but even if I did the clouds obscured it. The staff on reception and front desk along with housekeeping were great and went out their way to help. However the restaurant staff were not very keen in helping due to the language barrier. They need to be told that speaking louder in Chinese won't make me understand any better. That aside I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.
