Western Gateway Motel and Apartments

Great week at the WGM. Craig (the GM) couldn't do enough for us, the rooms were spotless, restaurant was excellent with a good menu and a healthy wine list. All the staff were super helpful and I'm delighted that I've found a regular spot for my frequent trips to the region. Highly recommend. Simon Lewis

Stay somewhere else the motel is very dated and furnished from the 1970s. It stinks and is very uninviting with reviews that do not resemble what the place is really like. The price per room is over priced for what the rooms are like and there is nothing positive to say about an over priced dated dump.

Big Spacious. Had what we needed BUT the sheets on the single bed were not clean. There was lots of short black hair from the previous sleeper around the pillow area. Totally gross and not okay. There was a daily service to make beds and change towels, perhaps this could be changed to ensure a full clean between patrons.

I’ve stayed at a lot of the hotels in Emerald but this one is now my go to. The room I’m in is very clean and spacious with plenty of desk room for work along with a full size fridge and kitchenette. All the cutlery was clean and plenty of tea and coffee available. A nice big tv to watch the state of origin on and wifi available. Craig has helped me out a lot for my stay and helps other colleagues of mine too (thank you very very much Craig). Great communication and a great bloke all round. The food from their restaurant is next level (get the steak! You must get the steak). Thankfully i don’t have to go elsewhere for great food so this is very convenient. All in all I really can’t fault this place and ticks all the boxes for my work and personal requirements. As close to a home away from home for a hotel.
