Auberge du Vieux Cedre

I stayed on the premises several days, and prolonged my stay and changed of rooms. At start the service was kind and considerate by the staff on site. The rooms were old but correct, and clean. The libanese restaurant is good. The location is perfect and closed to the Parc of the Baron d'Empain. The breakfast is not up to the value given to a 4-Star Hotel (no fresh juice, no egg cooker, 'basic' tea bags). At the end, I was in a room with dead insects and spiders (so unclean) in the room and a broken bathroom with drain smell from the entry of the bedroom to the bathroom.... (Happy to provide a video to show the room state). The reaction from the Staff Head has been heavily disrespectful, and became impolite when complaining about the room, up to address me with "My Petite Fille" as a well grown-up experienced professional woman, plus starting to intrude my privacy with improper comments, then to be rude, and last to refuse to change the room. He refused to explain his improper and impolite behaviours. He further went on to say he does whatever he wants in his hotel, and would not allow me to come back. The response was totally in disconnect with the service level expected in such a Hotel. I simply do not recommend it, and would qualify for 2-Star given the uncleaness of the room and inacceptable behaviours from the Head of Staff.

A very charming hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, large rooms, comfortable bed, very clean. Nice selection for breakfast. I also recommend the hotel restaurant. I was travelling for business and would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Easily one of the best properties in the region with a par-excellence Lebanese restaurant. The chef is amazing the food is awesome. We can go there again just to have dinner at the restaurant. That's not it, the service is unparalleled. Even before I reached the hotel, there was useful communication from the hotel staff to make the check-in process as smooth as possible. Customer service was always prompt in responding to queries; even at the hotel, they would go out of their way to help you. Of course, our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable, thanks to excellent customer service and great food.

Had an awesome experience staying there with the family. They had a very cordial staff and lively environment in restaurant and bar. Very nice breakfast menu. This is based on house so would get homely feeling compared to corporate hotels. Would love to stay again.

Great place with a beutiful garden and excellent food. A nice park is located just at the back of the hotel. Really nice for a walk or a run. Nice and friendly staff. Recommend the place for a stay in the area.

Excellent Hotel. Great location, right next door to an amazing park/Chateau. The room was spacious and spotless. Nice big shower with plenty of towels. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room very quiet. We had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious - nothing was too much trouble. Was lucky with the weather and managed to have a beer in the pretty garden. Would highly recommend.

Great value hotel. Very comfortable we had quite a large room. Room had two chairs which really makes a difference a large bed, toilet and shower room. It was very comfortable. The Hotel has a Restaurant serving Lebanese food, we were a bit wary but pleasantly surprised It was great. Helpful server guided our choices very well. Hotel is adjacent to a large park great for an explore. Village/Town has plenty of Restaurants and a few shops.

Accueil chaleureux, belle chambre et surtout literie excellente. La salle du petit déjeuner est grande et lumineuse. L'hôtel se situe à côté du parc et à 200 mètres du centre, ce qui est très plaisant. Le parking privé est un atout, mais il y a beaucoup d'emplacements de parking aux alentours.

Hotel bien situé à côté du château. Chambres agréables au calme avec beaucoup d'espace. Restaurant libanais au top. On a pu mettre nos vélos dans le garage en sécurité. Petit déjeuner agréable dans la verrière . Dommage qu'il n'y avait pas des œufs sur le plat.
