The best view ever, the location the food, the beach clube, this place is just insane beautiful. I didn't know what to expect from a small city like Ubatuba, I got there and I couldn't believe, how beautiful and romantic that place was. I can't wait to go back

From the postcard views to the delicious food, Catalina Hotel is an amazing experience. All of the staff were super friendly and accommodating. This hotel had everything we needed and more to provide us such a memorable vacation. We aren't too fluent in Portuguese so the fact that most of the staff speak English was huge for us. We have told so many friends about the hotel because we were blown away by the quality of the experience. We would recommend Catalina Hotel to anyone!

Beautiful views from the hotel but difficult to get to the beach. From previous reviews we got the impression that they provided a shuttle service to the beach and provided a beach service. This is not the case. To get to the beach, you have to climb down a lot of steep steps and then along a rough concrete track. Going down is not too bad but going up is a killer. They don't provide any facilities on the beach. They said they have discontinued this service but will start it again (it didn't help us though). Overall though the hotel is lovely. Rooms are nice and comfortable bed. The staff are friendly and helpful and spoke quite good English which helped us. The food was good and very reasonable price. The selection of wine available was poor. They had 3 types of rose wine on the menu. 1st night was told 1 type we wanted they didn't have, so had a different type. Later in the week they only had 1 type which was the most expensive one. They had 2 cheaper whites on the menu. After a couple of days they only had 1 type available. I would expect them to keep the full selection of wines available.

Excellent accommodation ,starting with the most welcoming people at reception and breakfast for all tastes in addition to a restaurant with mouth-watering options.(veggies safe) I stayed in the Enseada suite which is super spacious and what has made everything even better was the view of the jacuzzi inside of that room, comfort and quality is what they have to offer !

Our stay was wonderful! The hotel is luxurious and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Food at the restaurant was very good as well. We especially enjoyed the octopus risotto for dinner. Everyone at the hotel was very accommodating. However, the best part is the view! It’s spectacular. From our room, we were able to watch the sunset over the bay and even saw dolphins playing one evening as well. Great vacation!

A very smart hotel and you park in the large car park and are greeted pleasantly at the nice reception. There are 2 floors with just window views and 2 floors with balcony rooms. Our Anchietta room was a very good size balcony room, exceptionally comfortable king bed, tv, a/c, safe, good WiFi, kettle and coffee machine but no pods(?). Smart restaurant area with great view and adjacent small pool with 16 sun beds. Breakfast was a good choice of fruit juice,cereals, yoghurt, cold choices, freshly made omelettes, fruit, breads and cakes and tea and coffee. It was nice to discover they also provide chairs and parasols on the beach 5 minutes walk away. We weren't told, but at the beach, found out a car service constantly runs back and forth on demand, very useful for the uphill walk back. Although several times we tried to use it the driver was "unavailable at lunch" ! Food can be ordered at the beach is delivered from the hotel, drinks made at the beach. The hotel has not been open long and is very nice and very comfortable and having chatted with the owner at dinner one evening the determination to make this a really special place is evident.

What a wonderful experience it was staying in the Catalina. The staff, the food, the rooms, etc were wonderful and could not do more for us. Initially we booked 2 nights and stayed for 4. We did not want to leave. Pure luxury. Thank you to Carlos and all his staff for a fabulous few days. Go quickly and enjoy the experience.

When traveling we always look for three things. Safety, luxury, and affordability. I wish we could give more than 5 stars. Exceeded my expectations. A hidden gem for sure! The pictures are not enough. Enjoy!

My wife and I and another couple stayed here December 3-9. We have been to Ubatuba many times over the years and we are so excited to come again. Finally a hotel that “gets it”. Great service, food, best rooms ever and overall what a great place to stay. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants the best of Ubatuba!!
