Very quirky hotel , and fantastic restaurant with live music and dj We stayed for two nights and could of stayed longer The decor is unique and colourful, the bed was so comfy and the staff extremely friendly with a lovely welcoming drink on arrival Mira and Alban could not do enough for us Would truly recommend for a great break Ps we will return

I visited the Funky Monk hotel with my family We booked two deluxe rooms for the night - rooms 6 and 9 Room 6 is a much smaller room Very comfortable bed and nice furnishings. The room reminds you of Hollywood glamour with smoked mirrors and velvet chairs. There was a coffee maker but no kettle nor tea bags. Small functional shower room with large fluffy white towels Large shower head gave a good spray. The staff are exceptional and friendly They gave us a very warm welcome with free glasses of Prosecco We ate dinner and breakfast - both well cooked and presented. There was live entertainment with a singer who sang all the hits of the 80s, 90s and 2000s. It was a lovely stay and hope to return We parked our van in their private parking at the back of the hotel which cost us £15.00

Second time I have visited and I can’t fault this fabulous restaurant. Food was amazing and the staff are super attentive, nothing is too much trouble for them. I can recommend the charcuterie board and the cod cheeks, both were delicious. Lobster for main highly recommended as was the steak. There was a great singer and DJ which added to the wonderful atmosphere Will definitely visit again

Cons: The live music which on the night we stayed, was a DJ, played until 12.40am. Our room, number six was like a club. It was impossible to sleep. The cups and ironing board vibrated it was that loud. Despite talking about a tea tray there’s no kettle, and whilst there’s an ironing board, there’s no iron. Pros: A clean room Friendly staff. Don’t stay at the weekend if you want to sleep before midnight/1am. This isn’t a little noise, it’s brutally loud.

The food was great and the service matched the food. I cannot wait to go back again. The staff were so attentive and every course of food exceeded our expectations. We did not tell them it was birthday when booked but our waiter picked it up in our conversation and brought out an extra desert with a candle. I cannot fault the restaurant.

This was a breakfast brunch with friends on a Sunday morning and it was fabulous. I have absolutely nothing negative to say. A couple of us had the full vegetarian and it was served piping hot and very tasty, just good quality food cooked very well. There was a slight mix up with our tea but this was quickly and efficiently dealt with by the very friendly staff. Excellent food and service at a competitive price, can't wait to go back.

Had a lovely experience at this wonderful place whilst out for lunch. It was a lovely sunny day so we sat outside on the comfortable sofas whilst having a drink. We then decided to go into the restaurant to order lunch. The restaurant is lovely and very modern. Had a great vibe about the place. The food was delicious. Our waiter was lovely and very attentive. We throughly enjoyed our time in this restaurant and we have said that we are very excited to come back and would like to book one of their rooms in their hotel.

Like trying to sleep in a nightclub. Friday and Saturday nights there is live music followed by a DJ. It's so loud the room vibrates. Seems the more drunk the DJ gets the more they turn it up. Music goes on until around midnight. WiFi is terrible. Would never waste my money staying here again.

I wish I had read the reviews before booking. The live music and DJ were right beneath our room and so it was very noisy all evening till gone midnight. Everything else was fine, except they said it was £15 to use the hotel car park, so we just parked in the streets 10 minutes away. The music was too much of an issue I'm afraid, never stayed anywhere this noisy before.
