Plantation House Hotel

This was our second visit to what has become one of our favourite hotels without a doubt. It is so very relaxed yet professional in every way. We chose the same room as before it is spacious and luxurious and so comfortable. The bed and pillows are excellent The shower is the best I have ever had and it seems all the other guests were talking about the wonders of their showers at breakfast. Evening meal was superb. Richard certainly knows how to cook every course was flavoursome, wholesome and just gorgeous. Our lovely server Abbie was a delight she was so friendly cheerful but not over the top just great. Breakfast was again lovely but we were still full from the excellent meal the night before but managed it! Overall such a wonderful place which we love we are planning our next visit and can’t wait. There are so many lovely places to visit round and about so that’s what we will do next time. Highly recommended

A gem. This hotel is exceptional. It is full of charm and character. Nestled in a traditional Devon village, but close to Plymouth and many beaches. My room was immaculate and the shower was excellent. I arrived after a planned dinner elsewhere but the food looked excellent. A beautiful patio area out of the front allowed for a glass of wine in the late evening sun. Good parking and staff excellent.

Another superb stay at Plantation House. Richard and his staff are fabulous and nothing is too much trouble. The food is the best I have tasted - absolutely delicious! Thank you Richard and your lovely staff - we will see you again very soon xx

This was our second stay at this charming small hotel and it did not disappoint. The staff are friendly, helpful and very efficient and both breakfast and dinner were superb. Skilful cooking and a small but regularly changing menu. Meals always beautifully presented and served hot, home made bread, everything was delicious. Pre dinner drinks served in a very well stocked bar with good olives, almonds and spicy home made biscuits were a nice touch. Our room was very comfortable and there were complimentary fruit and biscuits and the White Company toiletries . This hotel really stands out for great attention to detail. Can't wait to go back.

Sublime vegetarian feast for 8 family members in honour of our wonderful Dad/Grandad. Richard and team made so much effort for us and we are truly grateful for such a special celebration. Sensational menu created especially for us, beautifully decorated room, roaring log fire, kind, friendly and attentive service, fabulous wine; a truly memorable occasion, thank you :-)

Eating at the Plantation House is truly a wonderful experience. The combination of ingredients and flavours is exceptional, and the presentation is a work of art. Very reasonably priced for this level of dining and wine selection is also sensibly priced. Lovely front of house staff & even met the gifted chef.
