Atlantica Grand Mediterraneo Resort - Adults Only

We've been home a week now after spending a wonderful 7 nights in this beautiful hotel. The rooms are lovely, very clean, and I believe most if not all have a gorgeous view. we were in room 260 and had a stunning ocean view. The queen size bed was super comfy. We also had the sofa made into a bed as we travelled with our 20 year old daughter. Again, she said it was comfy. The bathroom had a bath, and a separate shower cubical it was very clean, and towels were changed daily. Yes the hotel, is built into the mountain/hill and quite steep, but you have access to the funicular train, which takes you to all room levels as well as the beach and reception/pool area and if this isn't running there are hotel buggies/cars that will collect you and take you to and from where you want to go if you don't fancy walking. The pool area is very nice, with plenty of beds and again stunning views. The main restaurant is a lovely size, not overly big like some hotels. We stayed all-inclusive, and I can honestly say it's probably one of the best for food we've ever sampled lots of variety and also a separate vegetarian/vegan station. We also had lunch twice at the bar restaurant by the beach again, gorgeous food. The staff are fantastic and work incredibly hard in particular Thanasis (apologies if spelt incorrectly) he waited on us every day always polite and happy to chat, an absolute credit to the hotel. In fact, I can't fault any of the staff all were extremely friendly and helpful. The beach isn't big, but it again has plenty of beds, I suspect, as we were there at the beginning of October, it was never going to be busy. A special mention to Costas ( again, apologies if spelt wrong) he sorted all the beds on the beach and was super helpful, always making a fuss of our daughter again a credit to the hotel. The hotel is certainly out of the way, so if you want a lively holiday, it's perhaps not for you, but if you just want to chill, it's a must. The hotel does provide a bus to Corfu town every day €7 each. Each way, I definitely recommend this. We also hired a car from Mega rent a car just outside of the hotel for the day. This was great value and a perfect way of seeing more of the island. The nightly entertainment was also good, different each night All in all, we had a fantastic relaxing holiday and would definitely recommend.

This hotel is beautiful! From the moment we got there everything was easy and perfect. It’s true that the staff really make a hotel. Ladies on reception were so helpful. All the guys driving the buggies around constantly but never groaning, always happy and helpful. The restaurant staff were so lovely. Particularly the two ladies that run the outside seating at lunch. I didn’t catch their names but they were so efficient and helpful. Food was delicious! Rooms were great! I never sleep well at a hotel but I’ve slept like a baby all 10 nights we were away. Hired a car from Spiros(legend) to go round Corfu for the day which I would recommend. It’s such a beautiful place! Always sunbeds available with a different view each day. Easy access to the beach in a buggy. I could go on and on but it was all still be great feedback! Stunning location, superb staff,great selection of places to eat. As an all inclusive hotel guest you can enjoy meals in the main restaurant or at the beach bar. The Culinarium restaurant on the beach is a great place the enjoy a light lunch or an amazing dinner. A must do is a massage at the Aegeon spa located in the grounds. My wife and I had a couples massage. It was incredible. Our therapists Mar and Lia were amazing, calming, professional, and kind to two first timers. Coming back again soon. We have just returned from a fabulous 10-night break in Corfu. This was the first time we had visited Greece and had a very relaxing break! We upgraded our room to a Pool Room and had some fabulous views out to sea. The rooms were clean and comfortable. A must is the Lobster evening they do in the Italian restaurant on a Saturday night. A special shout out to Nasata (Captain) and Nikos for the 5* service! We spent the week relaxing and made multiple visits to the Spa! We had 3 amazing Mar-sages! Special thank you to Mar for the amazing treatments! All in, a great 10 days, fab value for money and a very relaxing break - just what we needed!

Overall we had a great holiday, however I feel this hotel could be so much better. On the plus side we had fantastic service and the food choice and quality was excellent. A big shout out to all the staff who were incredible especially Periklis the pool bar waiter who worked so hard. Also Odisseas who always looked after us at the beach restaurant, The hotel is a 4star at best and needs a little tlc and the pool really does need a good clean.

Absolutely wonderful hotel, could not fault it in any way!! Myself and my daughter visited for a week and the welcoming, hardworking staff here made our holiday. The hotel is wonderfully clean and the food and beverages on offer were outstanding. We went all inclusive and we were very impressed. The management and staff really made every effort to be helpful and visible and seem proud to work here. Particularly Nicos in the restaurant and Ugne and Enzo at the bar. The bus service to corfu town was prompt and reliable, however car rental is a must in order to explore the rest of the island. We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay and we hope to return soon, thank you!!

Came away for a week of peace and quiet and that’s what we got. We were on the first floor so close to everything. Room was spacious and was kept immaculately clean. We went half board and after we had done all our sightseeing trips, we paid to go all inclusive for the rest of the holiday. Wish all hotels did this! Food was good, although more info needed on the labels- ‘meat pie’ is just not enough. I think if we were there for longer it would have become a bit samey. Plenty going on to keep you busy if you wanted a break from reading your book. Particularly enjoyed the bingo, quiz, silent disco and the three Tenors! Book. You’ll love it!!

We are currently at this hotel, on our last night. This hotel is excellent for total relaxation and rest. The hotel is in an excellent location with amazing views, especially around the pool area, with the large mountains surrounding you on either side. The beach is also very close by, with a beautiful sea you can choose to swim in, or decide to stay in the pool which is also very spacious. The staff across the hotel are excellent, always willing to help and with a smile too. Our room was very spacious, even with 3 people staying in it. The sofa can convert into a bed if needed. The AC is excellent, and so refreshing, and the cleaning is brilliant, leaving the room spotless. Food is top notch, with a large array of choice and healthy options. All the chefs are very friendly, smiling and saying hello to you when you approach the live cooking stations. Buggy system is excellent. Very reliable, and can be called in advance from your room. The drivers are very smiley and always willing to help. Service around the pool area can get very busy, but have to bear in mind, lots of people are wanting drinks. Waiters and waitresses do come round as well, asking what they can get you while you’re sat at your lounger, and shortly return to you with your drinks. There is a pool bar too, where they make the drinks in front of you to order. Highly recommend anyone staying here, we hugely enjoyed our stay.

Sadly for us, this was not the hotel experience we expected. Upon booking we chose this hotel for its 5 star status and breathtaking views. Having always chosen hotels at this standard, we weren't expecting there to be any issues. However upon arrival it was all too clear that this hotel had seen better days, mainly in the late 90s, early 2000's. The interiors were extremely dated and it was soon apparent that the hotel was ready for a much needed renovation. Due to this, the hotel was much closer to a 3 star than 5. The bedrooms were clean and functional but no over head shower, just a handheld and very basic decor. The outdoor private pool however was lovely as the views of the mountains were incredible. We were told we had access to our mini bar complimentary, it was sadly broken and when they did fix and full it, it was simply 2 cans of lager and 2 sprite! The main restaurant, again had seen better days and the food was really not edible in my opinion. Further reviews online confirmed the food was not up to scratch and due to my personal health I feared eating it. Furniture around the hotel was stained and worn and overall, the hotel needs to be closed and renovated to be classed as 5 star or stay as it is but have its classification changed as its misleading. Also, it was a pain to keep calling for a buggy to get from your room to anywhere else. You could walk but only if you are capable of walking a 20 min uphill in 95 degree heat just to get to reception or the main restaurant. The cable car was never available either with some people waiting over 30mins in the heat. The pool bar was not great and not at all maintained and the fine dining restaurant was certainly not as described and definitely what I'd call fine dining. Due to all of the above and extremely poor customer service from Tui we only stayed 1 night and moved to another hotel the next day. I have to say though that the staff at the hotel are incredibly nice and I couldn't fault them & the views are as described, just stunning! As for everything else, I think Tui need to do a proper review of what they are classing as luxurious 5 star in their TUI Blue category, as this certainly does not meet the criteria of luxury or 5 star.
