Cranganor History Café & Riverside Château

Small boutique hotel in a beautiful setting by a lake. Lovely friendly staff, who couldn't do enough for you, and freshly cooked delicious food. Couldn't wish for a more chilled out place. Will definitely return if and when we come back to Kerala.

Small boutique hotel, quiet location, beautiful views on the river, palm trees, birds singing. Very spacious rooms, plenty of dishes in the restaurant but you must order in advance. There are some bicycles for rent , it is safe to take a ride around (rice fields, temple, local village). The services are a bit pricey (eg a ride to Kochin is 3500 rupiah and it is better to take uber for 1700 both ways, it takes 1.5-2 hours!). Uber is safe - take premium. Staff is friendly although not everybody speaks fluent English and the service could be more focused on a customer. 30 minutes to Cochin airport. The best room is upstairs for me.

We arranged a driver with the hotel, he was prompt and a good safe driver. We were welcomed by Justin and a refreshing cool drink whilst they did the finishing touched touches to our room Our room overlooked the pool , gardens and the waterways with plenty of places to sit on the property Everything about this property is first class, the room was stylish clean and with excellent facilities Air conditioning and the shower worked very well and the linens of the highest quality The food is preordered and cooked form scratch which makes for fresh hot and tasty food Baby the chef is an absolute star what she produces in the kitchen is amazing Staff are highly trained and all excel in their area of expertise The best hotel on our recent trip and we wouldn’t hesitate to return Thank you you all made our trip memorable
