Milan state park is great for hiking, fishing, picnicking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and has a wonderful view of mountain ranges in VT, ME, and NH from the fire tower. LL Cotes is a great place to go shopping for almost anything you need, gas, groceries, outdoor clothing, fishing equipment, guns, kayaks, snowmobiling gear and local souvenirs. Colebrook NH has your nearest grocery store and a few destinations. Bring a cooler to keep your stuff cold. To get there you pass Dixville Notch state park.
