Club Jandía Princess

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, there was only 2 small incidents that knocked it down to 4 stars but will say what they are at the bottom. I would come again as thought it was worth the money and staff were lovely. Hotel: The hotel is very nice, yes needs updating in places but overall very nice. You will need to get used to walking steps or hills from the rooms to the main part of the hotel, pool and beach. Food: we only ate on the main area and every day there was plenty of choice of foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner and was always been restocked. The staff were always clearing plates and cleaning areas. I had something to eat in the place next to the main pool, it’s was basic with pizza, chips, hot dogs, burgers and chicken nuggets and ice cream machine. Room: we were in the adult section and in room 5303. We had a slight sea view. Room was cleaned every day, one day we had a do not disturb and they didn’t disturb, but did make sure we were okay at about 4pm as it had been on all day. Pools, the main pool is great, split into 2. One side is walk in and I think gets to 1.3m and the other half is 1.4-1.5 meters. Both sides were nice size and clean, there was some broken tiles but doesn’t take away the fun you’re having. Next to these pools there is a kids pool. There is shaded sitting around all the main pools but I don’t think it’s enough as the umbrellas can’t be up most of the time due to wind. There is an adults only pool on the next level down and then a chill pool and modest pool the next level down. We didn’t do the adult pool As there is no shade at all. The chill bar had plenty of drinks, cocktails are pre mixed and a good selection and they’re okay. Lots of spirits. Beer, water and sorts drinks are self serve. We didn’t do any of the other bars or entertainment. We had an issue with shower and they fixed straight away. The 2 incident that happened was there was a Spanish family and they got a member of the staff to remove the towels off the off beds of an English family so they could have them. The english family were joining in the hotel activities and the Spanish family came after 11am The next the same Spanish family got the same member of staff to move mine and my daughters beds. From the shade so they could be in it. Bare on mine I was in the pool and had been there from 8am. Just feel like the Spanish were treated a bit better. But we would still Return

We have just returned from Club Jandia Princess having stayed for five nights. We arrived at the hotel in the evening, post dinner time, and were informed that there was another smaller dinner for late arrivals. In entering the restaurant one member of staff was very welcoming however, another appeared to not want us to eat. This made eating dinner uncomfortable as we felt that we were not welcome. The hotel itself is average. I would describe it as a three star hotel rather than a four star. Communal areas: There is an awful smell of raw sewage in the outside reception area and the outside bar which prevented us from sitting there. We had to walk past these areas daily to get back to our room and the smell was awful. The reception area is large but gets very busy in the evenings. Most nights there was only one bar staff which meant you had to queue for drinks. Rooms: The rooms were standard. Our ceiling had filler around the smoke alarm which had not been painted. The bathroom was old and could do with modernising. The towel rail was loose and coming out of the wall and one of the outside sliding doors was broken. Pool and beach area: The pool area and beach provide some lovely views. The hotel itself on the outside looks very lovely against the beach setting and sea view. The pool water is freezing cold and takes some time to get used to. The beach is a short walk down some steps. The beach is not part of the hotel so if you want a beach chair or drinks you have to pay. Food and drink: The food was average. Nothing spectacular. They had theme nights every night but some of the food became repetitive. There was a large breakfast selection but we found breakfast to be the busiest time of day. Unfortunately not all drinks are included in the all inclusive as they want you to pay for a premium for a greater selection of drinks. We did not pay this and were disappointed with the small selection of cocktails. Conclusion: Although we did have a nice time, we were thankful to not be staying a full seven days and felt ready to go home after five nights. It is an average hotel that could be amazing if some money was spent on modernisation.

We were very surprised by our visit to this lovely hotel, having booked only the week before and reading some of the negative reviews we had a lovely week away. The hotel complex is set over a large area on different levels with very beautiful kept gardens. Not very disability friendly unfortunately, steep paths up from the pool area and beach. Overall this hotel was very good, the rooms are spacious and cleaned daily. Couldn’t fault the food at all, plenty of choice and things cooked fresh. Coffee machines were very slow and always a long queue. We had a very enjoyable week and would definitely return even though it’s a long journey from the airport, an hour in a private transfer. Don’t let the negative reviews put you off!!!! Can only describe this place as the Caribbean of the canaries, amazing beaches and wonderful views.

Great holiday, all inclusive had plenty of choice for every meal and the local drinks were fine . The room was clean and serviced every day with fresh towels and bedding. The staff all worked very hard and werev every polite and helpful. The pool areas where kept clean and tidy . The pools were cold but we still manage to have a swim in them most days .

Overall our family had a nice time. The main positive was the animation team who look after the kids club and daily activities.Our daughter loved them and thoroughly enjoyed both the activities and the kids disco. The guys there were energetic and made her feel right at home. The kids club times were good and they always checked on allergies, swimming standars etc which made us feel secure.If I could change one thing, it would be that the kids disco start earlier and last longer as 8.45 to 9.15 seems late in the day. Pools were heated well and loungers were easily found, all be it we are early risers which helped. The view from the adult area was beautiful and had plenty of areas to lay/sit in the sun or shade. But the pool bar could use a few more stools. The range of food was good for adults but limited for children of a younger age who can be fussy. The one thing you can normally fall back on as a parent is chips however they were not very tasty. The drinks package in all inclusive was decent enough but when we decided to upgrade to the black bands for a little more variety we were told it had to be done for the whole party and would be for the remainder of the trip. Would be good to have an option for simply using for a day if you wanted to. Although we benefited from upgrading there were still cocktails that came at a charge for example, daiquiris, bloody Mary's and mojito which are popular cocktails which you'd expect to be included in a platinum hotel. One of the main concerns we came across was the state of the tiles in some of the pool areas. Chipped and broken which can be dangerous and should be maintained more. Our daughter actually cut her leg on a raised uneven tile in the child's pool. The other concern was the attitude of some staff. It seemed to be a 50/50 chance of interacting with someone either full of energy with a smile or completely disinterested and at times rude. For example, a cleaner sighed at my wife when she politely gestured that her trolley was blocking the toilet exit when she tried to pass. Our room itself was ok but the bathroom needs updating and the door replacing as the bottom was warped and water damaged. The sofabed however wasn't great. Mattress was thin and short making it difficult for an adult to get any sleep on it. The main beds were comfortable. The fan in the room doesn't constitute as air conditioning, we left ours on 3 at all times to take the edge off the heat but there wasn't a lot of power in it. The arcade was very disappointing with many of the machines either not working or taking money with no staff present to speak to about getting money back. Some machines were turned off in the day which again was disappointing for our little one who wanted to play games. None of the machines had signs on them so there was no way to know if they were out of order or not and alot of the attractions are 2 euro a go which is quite expensive for some of the attractions on offer. Just arrived from back from a 10 day stay here as a family of 4 and it didn’t disappoint! The hotel itself was in a beautiful location overlooking the sea, the buffet food was plentiful and varied, the hotel staff were attentive and worked very hard, and the animation team were amazing!! Special thanks to Danny and Sarah from the animation team as they looked after our daughters so well 🥰 I would definitely return here. Even in the height of August, there was always a sunbed free so no getting up at the crack of dawn! And for just 10 EUR, you can hop into a taxi and venture into the next town which has plenty of shops and restaurants.
