Popped in for dinner after 7pm after a long drive back from John o groats and we were accommodated a table no problem. We were served quickly.starters then mains.Delicious and piping hot.We were also staying at the local caravan site so this also entitled us to a wee discount.

Old hotel/pub which has some character. A bit of a trek and fight through all the doors to get to your room. Evening meal was good and beers were good at bar as well. Breakfast took way too long to come out when we were in a bit of a hurry. No fault of the staff, just not enough of them.

Stayed for one night, in the family room. The room was clean, comfy beds and spot on for a good night's sleep. I would say that the room is quite cosy and there isn't much room to walk about in Staff were really friendly, the hotel is very clean and in a good location. The evening meal was absolutely delicious, some of the nicest scampi I've ever had and very reasonably priced.

Ate in the bar the food was delicious. The waitress was attentive and very efficient. The choice on the menu was good and the items we chose were amazing. I had fish tacos with dirty fries, delicious and my hubby pizza which was good too. The sticky toffee pudding sooo yummy. Don’t be out off by the bright lights in the dining room. Eat in the bar.

Good value hotel. Very efficient check in. Really helpful staff . Room was comfortable. Dinner in restaurant was first class. Unfortunately the menu did not include a steak which would have been my preference. Service was impeccable the man waiting on tables was excellent although very busy. Breakfast cooked to order was a good start to my day

We stayed in the area over the weekend and decided we'd give the Sunday Carvery a try. What an absolute treat. The food was delicious and the service first class. To top it off, we couldn't believe how reasonable the price was. Definitely worth a return visit (or two).

Excellent Atmosphere and Food. Lovely, wholesome home cooked food, sourced locally. Prawn curry the first night for me, hubby had scampi and our friend had chicken goujons. Plenty of food, you won't go home hungry. 2nd night, steak pie for one and chicken goujons for two. Chicken goujons are just huge and tasty. Coffee afterwards with cold milk and shortbread fingers, perfect. Scott looked after us both nights and is just lovely. A perfect host. Highly recommend anyone to come for food.

Excellent place to stay. Location ideal, staff professional yet friendly - attentive but not intrusive. Food amazing. Hospitality overall 10/10. Rooms basic but clean and homely. Coffee/tea facilities. One slight downside- volume on juke box !

Out for supper came across this wee gem of a place great selection on the menu. staff really friendly and attentive great service. the food was great few pints after a day walking hit the spot definitely will be back many thanks to all the staff and management
