The hotel: It's a genuinely historical inn with an older-style construction that adds to the authenticity and charm. The veranda with tables is incredibly romantic and perfect for sunsets. Children will appreciate all the nooks and crannies in the inn. Room: The rooms keep the historical style but with modern features that will make your experience a good one. Beds are comfy and warm. There are enough blinders to leave the room totally dark. Incredibly silent. The bathroom looks old but the plumbing is great, the water is warm and the pressure is just right. There's also a tv and good wifi. The highlight goes to the A/C which helps to set a good room temperature (especially during those scorching hot summer afternoons). It has everything you need but, of course, if you don't like a room with old-style furniture, then this isn't a good option. Breakfast: Simple continental one with a surprise option (Wine Poached Pears) on one day. Perfect to kickstart the day with enough space in your belly to dine at a restaurant nearby any Alentejo-style dish. Cleanliness: Great, nothing to point out which means they are doing a good job. Location: Fantastic, right in the middle of Évora, close to everything especially the Roman temple. If your intention is sightseeing, this is a great option. There are a lot of restaurants nearby, just be aware of their open/closing hours. Getting there: it's a 20/30 minute walking distance from the bus station. You can reach it by car but be aware the inn doesn't provide parking space. Disabled people: People with mobility issues might experience difficulties to reach the inn due to Évora's cobblestone streets and the inn's old style with doorsteps. Please consider that before booking as other options might be more suitable.
