Mercure Exeter Southgate Hotel recensioner

The Mercure is centrally located 5 mins walk from the centre of the city and the Cathedral. Our room on the third floor was clean and serviceable although some of the furniture had seen better days. Car parking is available and costs £15 per day which is cheaper than the public car parking across the road.  Families note, pool costs £10/adult. (Children free)

I was expected for more, as is an exclusive hotel kids crying at the breakfast and parenting doing nothing the rooms need more cleaning, too much dust reception service poor

Lovely experience having tried the Rougemont. Lovely pool, polite staff. Didn’t try the food but it smelled incredible. Thanks for a top class stay.

Doesn’t have any toothpaste or the necessary items for hygiene

A lovely hotel however the staff were not very helpful especially at breakfast. The room was great bathroom amazing only issue was breakfast at £15.50 it’s very pricey for what’s on offer

Stayed here for the first time Lovely entrance Helpful reception staff Clean room Nice shower room Complimentary water Nespresso coffee, tea and biscuits Used the pool which is a good size Again helpful staff Ended up staying for breakfast which had everything you could want . Cooked breakfast Fresh fruits salad Fresh juices Pastries Overall really good stay Will use it again when in Exeter & also checking out other mercure hotels

Everything is nice the only thing which needs improvement is the cleaning side of it . The toilets got mold thr carpets are ripped

Great location, near to the town centre and cathedral. Good breakfast. Room a bit tired!
