Premier Inn Exmouth Seafront

A hotel with a great location for the town and the sea front, check in was easy and friendly and the room was clean with a very comfy bed. The only downside was the extra charge for parking when you stay at the hotel as the carpark is part of the hotel.

We come to Premier Inn Exmouth and each time is better than the last. The family rooms are great (if a little small); the beds and bathroom are first-class. Of course, we enjoy the Full English Breakfast which is always well-cooked and delicious, and we ate in the hotel restaurant in the evenings. Full marks to the staff, especially Liga and Ruby who were very helpful and attentive - Liga even remembered us from last year! A great place to take a break by the Devon seaside.

This hotel has been in disrepair for months and its exterior makes it look derelict. The town council has asked the management (Whitbread Gropu) to remedy the situation immediately before the tourist season starts but to no avail. The building is discolored, has bits missing and generally an affront to our town to have such a building in such a prominent position on our lovely seafront. The shear arrogance of this chain to maintain one of its hotels in this state is beyond believable. I will be telling all my friends and contacts to steer well clear and instead visit one of our locally run hotels or B&Bs. Sort your act out Premier!! The brochure picture is a far cry for the current state of play!

I notified reception immediately upon discovery that my bed was faulty. The right side was lower than the left, and the foot of the bed was higher than the head. The right side was also considerably worn compared to the left, meaning thr sleep surface was completely uneven. Reception didn't follow up, or put it right. I chased Reception who gave me a web address to complain to. I complained to this address where I received a reply saying as my room was an accessible room, I shouldn't expect the bed to be of the same quality as regular rooms. Essentially saying disabled people should expect lower quality.

So reception warm and friendly. Lifts to rooms. Room overall clean and comfy. Out back noisy fan in daytime but ok at night 219. Bed comfy everything clean and tidy. Plenty of tea and coffee. Extras in reception if you run out. Breakfast and evening meals very good Bigger chips.

Really great location, over the road from the beach and a gentle stroll to the town, Marina or stroll along the front. Plenty of parking to the rest (reasonably priced) coupled with a slick system for paying. The room was nice and had a view. The place felt a little shabby and unwelcoming for some reason but taking nothing away from the lady at reception who was bubbly, helpful and acted like a hotel concierge. Great banker of a place - we will revisit
