ibis Falaise Coeur de Normandie

We arrived quite late on Monday for a five day tour of the beach landings. We were met by Anne Sophie who has a great command in english and a very nice greeting. All week we were greeted with friendly smiles and a chat. Our room was basic but clean with very comfortable beds. The food was not 5 star but nice and filling at a reasonable price. Keep away from the scrambled egg, my only complaint. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff. All the staff were professional and friendly with big smiles and a nice attitude. But there is always that one person who stands out and that was Anne Sophie. Thank you for making our stay that little bit more enjoyable. Would we stay here again.....YES

We stayed here on a Battlefield tour for 4 nights, the rooms are clean with a good shower but I'd describe them as basic as no kettle etc and the hanging space and shelves unit for clothes is the smallest I've ever seen but we managed as we didn't spend much time in there.It's on the outskirts of Falaise with a supermarket across the road but not much else. We had breakfast included which was fine and had our evening meals there and we really enjoyed the choice at a reasonable price What really lifts this hotel is the staff-a special mention for Ann Sophie who was so friendly and helpful as were the other staff we encountered. Well done to you all and thank you.

We stayed here on a Ledger D Day beaches tour. The hotel is very clean, comfortable and everything you expect from an Ibis hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and my room was spacious, well equipped and the shower was very good. Meals are very basic. Breakfast wasn't the best ( congealed bacon and scrambled eggs) but plenty on offer for continental. 24hr bar was a treat and staff are brilliant. As it was during the European football championships the bar staff joined in cheering England so we then cheered on France when they played! We would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.

Stayed 4 nights on a Leger D Day tour. Had everything you need except a kettle. Nice Restaurant area with a fair amount of choice plus a very efficient bar service. Loads of friendly staff and most spoke a fair amount of English. A choice of Kronenberg and Grimbergen on draught and reasonably priced for a Hotel. About a 20 minute walk into Falaise.

We stayed here on a Leger Normandy Battlefields tour. The rooms were comfortable but there were no tea/coffee making facilities. The hairdryer was a ‘hot air pipe’ type in the bathroom. The use of the lift is discouraged during the night which was good as our friends were opposite the lift and were not disturbed. Breakfast was typical continental with a good choice. The restaurant is closed at weekends with the nearest alternative food offering being McDonalds over half a mile away. However, our guide came to an arrangement with the hotel and they opened the restaurant for a limited menu on Sunday. It was an excellent meal and with a coach load they must have made some money. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Stayed here on a Leger D day tour. Rooms are fine, good shower and very clean. The staff are all really good, a special mention to Anne-Sophie who was outstanding, going above and beyond to be helpful. .The restaurant stayed open for us on the first night past closing as we arrived late and opened early for breakfast on our last day(4.30am!) as we had an early start.
