The Falmouth Hotel

A lovely stay at the Falmouth hotel. Amazing location. Swift and easy check in. Very dog friendly. Breakfast was wonderful- a full buffet, just arrived early if you want everything piping hot/ ready to eat. Would stay here again. My daughter and her husband held their wedding reception at the hotel and a number of family members had rooms for the weekend. The rooms were clean and spacious, everything worked… Some of the bathroom fixtures seem a little dated, however I believe the hotel is undergoing a period of rolling refurbishment and to be fair everything was spotlessly clean. The food served at the sit down meal was excellent and the waiting staff were faultless and friendly. The head waiter/ master of ceremonies was professional to the last and you really were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble. Bar prices were reasonable for a hotel and again, the atmosphere of the bars was relaxed and the staff were very friendly. Throughout the whole process from initial enquiry to picking up equipment etc the following day, the staff at the hotel couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. The hotel has a lovely old school, proper hotel feel to it and makes a really refreshing change from the popped out of a mould chain hotels most of us are used to. The setting is stunning sitting as it does above castle beach with the wide vista of the bay looking from the Lizard to Pendennis castle. A great place to relax and a fantastic and unique venue for an event, can’t recommend highly enough…
