Nice big room, good location and parking nearby. Just one problem. We had a decent breakfast, but when I asked for some butter to go with what is normally an £11 breakfast I was given a cheap looking spread which they probably use for sandwiches. There was Flora which is just as bad. I then went to the bar thinking they would have small packs of butter considering they sell scones 's etc. but nothing. I think that on it's own was not a problem BUT TO HEAR THE WAITRESS GO BACK INTO TO THE KITCHEN AND SLAG MY WIFE OFF FOR ASKING FOR BUTTER AND HEARING IT FROM OUR TABLE UNACCEPTABLE. Very unprofessional and took the gloss off a nice day

Just popped in for lunch on off chance no reservation , wow what a find ! we all went for beef sandwich , perfectly cooked beef on sourdough and pint of Spitfire ale , heaven Our waitress Jo was friendly and attentive despite being busy , nothing too much trouble , yes Jo you'll definitely be seeing us again Thank you

the staff are very welcoming and helpful. there is a good range of food and drink available and it seems popular with locals as well as any tourists. The restaurant is very good quality We had a room which had it's own outside private garden with table chairs and umbrella but unfortunately it has been neglected by housekeeping and needs a good clean from the birds, not just a couple of days worth. The room itself was large and cool considering the heatwave we were having. Large bathroom with wet room and good power for the shower. Would certainly revisit if staying locally again

A centrally located hotel in a wonderful old building.On arrival we were upgraded to a superior double which felt more like a suite than a room. The breakfast had a range of choices and the service was excellent. Would recommend having a drink or two in this pub full of character.

Decent hotel in central Faversham. Breakfast was very nice, plenty of choice for vegetarians. The pub was busy and the beer good. Bathroom fan didn’t work but made rather strange noises. Parking was avaiable to drop the luggage and then we were directed to a long stay car park which is only a very short distance away.

Nice quaint old inn in the centre of Faversham, big spacious room with large bathroom.. Bed was reasonably comfy although it’s always about personal preference.. The most ridiculous (lower than head height) massive light in the room which is comedic in size and proportion that it’s impossible not to bang you head in at least 50 times.. Food was tasty and well cooked but phenomenally small portions.. the dessert, dark chocolate and rum tart would have fit on a teaspoon! Breakfast was equally stingy.. nicely made but one massive issue.. no butter! Just packs of Flora! I’d rather spread and eat mud than margarine! As would most of the sane world.. Who I took to be the landlord was a bit on the abrupt and grumpy side but overall, a decent stay.. in a nice pub

Lovely old pub nice food. Not great chicory fussy husband. But loved his fish a chips close to everything nice area. Lovely couple of nights We would like to go back as didn’t get to go round the shepherds and neame brewery. Our room standard clean. Are 4 posters.

Called in with friends for a pre meal drink. Good selection of beers (Shepard Neame), lagers, wines and spirits, plenty of seating throughout the pub. Service was a bit slow as staff preferred to finish their conversations with each other rather than serve.

Eight of us enjoyed a very good lunch at The Sun Inn. Brendan, the manager, and all his staff were very friendly and accomodating. The menu had plenty of choice and the wine list was well priced. Braised pork cheek & black pudding was delicious. We will certainly return in the near future.
