Wenliyuan (Phoenix Ancient City Scenic Area Hongqiao Branch) recensioner

We booked 3 rooms for our family for a night stay. The owner and staffs were very friendly, helpful and generous. The owner upgraded our rooms and gave us complimentary breakfast even though it was not included in our purchase. The rooms and overall place is very clean.Nice view on the open top floor where breakfast is served. Location is very convenient and almost next to the entrance of the ancient town. I have no hesitation to recommend this hotel to visitors who want to visit Fenghuang Ancient Town.

The place is inside the alley which is near the busiest spots. It is not very accessible but the hotel doest provide transport to ferry customers from train station. There is no lift, and the laundry and breakfast / supper are all at the top most 4th floor. Staff are polite and helpful.

Big room with sink separated from shower. Free pickup to/fro the train station and a free scenic train ride. There was a dress up store directly in the hotel lobby which was convenient.

This inn was well located in the heart of the old town with shops, cafes and restaurants in close proximity, yet ideally away from the noise and the bustle so that one can sleep very soundly. It has a lovely roof terrace which offers a panoramic view of the river. A late night snack was offered and the kind owner even gave us a bottle of local candy. He also arranged for our transport to the rail station without charge. Because my partner has trouble climbing stairs, the considerate owner arranged for us to have a room on a lower floor. All in all, a very pleasant stay and i would definitely book this inn again.

An awesome hotel with nice view on top floor and place to chill. Location is near the Pagoda and walking distance to main atttactions. Room is clean and comfortable, not too noisy despite at times can hear outside pubs live band. Hotel counter team is friendly, helpful as he helps to carry my luggage to room at 3rd floor and arrange free pick up to bullet train station when check out. Simple breakfast and supper provided by Hotel. Worth to revisit and recommend others to experience here.

Smallish but adequate and quiet rooms in a convenient location to visit the ancient city. The best part is that they arrange(via directions from Wechat as we are not Chinese literate) transfers from and to the high speed train station. Breakfast (Chinese style)was adequate up in a nice location on the roof. We missed a message but apparently they offered tong yuen as a night snack. We would recommend staying here unless you wish to have one of those river view rooms offered by some small inns.

(This review is for Wenliyuan Hotel, the previous review was incorrectly written for Tian Men San Qian Hotel) Feels a bit more like an inn without an elevator. I was staying on the 3rd floor but there was someone who helped with the luggage. Rooms were alright, nothing notable. Breakfast and night desserts were average too. Food service was pretty slow given that there were enough many staying over and only one staff was taking and preparing the orders. Free maglev ticket and shuttle to hotel on arrival. However, they didn't have any free shuttle to the maglev station when I checked out due to the golden week crowd - at least they managed to hail me a rideshare cab by the roadside to the highspeed rail directly for RMB20.

Great place to stay a few meters away from the river and the staff help us a lot during our stay. Moreocer they provide a transport if you need to go to the high speed rail station.

This hostel is beyond expectation! Located near to the attraction and so convenient to go anywhere. The host provided free transportation, room upgrade and free breakfast and supper for us. Highly recommended. It is a new hotel so it’s clean and comfortable.
