Phoenix Mingyun International Hotel (Phoenix Ancient City Branch)

Phoenix Mingyun International Hotel (although located behind some shop lots) is strategically positioned. The room is spacious, equipped with modern facilities and with very comfortable beddings. The new washing machines and dryers on the second floor made it convenient for us to wash our clothes before flying home. It is just a short walk to the ancient town (walk out to the main road, turn right, walk straight ahead and you will reach the ancient town). A 15 minutes' walk will bring you to the morning local market called Lanxin (the courteous and helpful reception staff gave us the directions). It is a bustling morning market where one can get all types of meat and a variety of seasonal fruits. We love visiting morning markets in China to soak in the local atmosphere. I would stay here again if I visit Fenghuanggucheng. This hotel is definitely more comfortable than those minsu (bed and breakfast accommodation) located at the ancient town. The hotel has an excellent location and convenient transportation. It takes 5 minutes to walk to Tuojiang River, 6 minutes to the bus station, and 10 minutes to the high-speed rail station by car. The hotel room is very clean, spacious and bright. The waiters are friendly and enthusiastic. The breakfast is also rich. Overall, the stay experience is good.

Excellent location for visiting ancient phoenix town with only 5 minutes walk to scenic spots, and yet still enjoy modern hotel comfort. Our room is clean with comfortable bed, and good working Aircon and shower. Breakfasts cost only 10yuan per person, offering very basic Chinese foods, we would prefer pay more for more variety and quality.
