😡A Truly Disappointing Experience – Save Yourself the Trouble!😡 This hotel was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. I paid a premium price for a "river view" room, only to be greeted by a tiny sliver of water squeezed between two buildings, facing a noisy road, and a window covered in mold and water stains. The location was equally frustrating—far from both tourist attractions and the train station, making it incredibly inconvenient. Absolutely different with what they state in the apps. But the real disaster was the abysmal customer service. Initially, I tried to be understanding when they said they were short-staffed, but it turned out I was the only guest staying there that night. Despite this, the service was painfully slow and utterly unhelpful. I inquired about their advertised clothing rental service, only to be directed to the wrong location. When I got lost, they couldn’t even provide proper directions. When I finally arrived, the options were extremely limited, and there was zero assistance—the staff just told me to look elsewhere instead of offering alternatives. To make matters worse, I had arranged for a car to take me to the train station the next morning, but no car showed up. Trying to book a taxi was a hassle, and to top it all off, breakfast was suddenly unavailable. By this point, my mood was completely ruined. As a "compensation," the hotel offered me 20 yuan. When I asked to use it for a ride to the train station, they demanded another 20 yuan on top. Seriously? Overall, this hotel was a complete letdown. The service was horrendous, the amenities were misleading, and the entire experience was stressful and frustrating. I strongly advise against staying here—save your money and sanity!

This is a bed and breakfast type of hotel. Mr. Yang, the owner and his staff were very friendly and hospitable. He offered free pick up or drop off service to the high-speed train station, which is about 20 minutes away. Mr Yang also helped us purchase the tickets for river cruise at night. The hotel is at the upper part of the river 沱江 and more quiet. It is only a short walk down to the river bank.

The service of this hotel is pretty good. The hotel will arrange for someone to pick you up from the train station and send you back when you are leaving. The lady at the front desk is very friendly. Hotel room is not big but it's functional. Certain parts of the room are slightly worn out. But for the price it's not too bad. There's a lift in the hotel and cars can go directly to the front door of this hotel so you don't have to carry your luggages and drag them in the town. About 10-15mins walk to the river. Overall pretty nice stay.

Located in the upstream of Taojiang River, around 850m walk to Nanhua Bridge, this property is in a quiet location, away from the crowds and loud music of Fenghuang Ancient Town. The host kindly arranged for free railway station pick up and drop off for us. View of the river from our room was partially obstructed by the building in front though. Take note that the front desk is usually unmanned so for any questions or enquiries, communicate with the host via Wechat. His response time is quick.

Clean and cozy room, just a short stroll from the busy ancient town. Service was great and friendly - gave us a map and told us how to walk around Fenghuang and sent us off to the train station too.

I loved my stay here! The owner and wife and also the driver were so generous and helpful, ready to help you with anything. Drop off and pick up service from the train station were the best part! And also among other hotels, only few hotels including here that are having elevator. It was very convenient for my parents especially when using wheelchairs. I stayed 3 nights here and the owner upgraded my room with a better view. The room was very cozy, clean and spacious. The breakfast was standard and simple but it was more than enough. Definitely will be back to stay when visit Feng Huang again!

Pros: very quick in addressing issues. One day there was no hot water and the hotel responded in a very short time and remedied the problem. Also hotel did a courtesy drop off to a local bus station, which was greatly appreciated. It was an uphill climb and would have been a challenge with luggage. Hotel location was quiet. Heating, water pressure and hot water all very good. Hotel staff also gave us a restaurant recommendation which was very good. Breakfast was good. Cons: don’t be fooled by the description of 180 degree view of the river. It has two buildings on both sides blocking the view, as we found out after checking in. The walk to the ancient village is about 10 minutes from the Hotel, and longer on the way back because there is a bit of uphill climb.

They upgraded my room for free to a very high and nice room with a river view. They arranged for a driver to pick me up and drove me to the station when I left. Gave me a map of the ancient city and told me where to go. Really enjoyed my stay here.

Everyone at the hotel was very nice and helpful. Cannot think of any complaints. All requests have been fulfilled. The travel plan was all prepared by front desk staff and the driver from what to eat where to go. The room was very good, everything inside the room was new with 5 stars hotel standard.

The hotel is just outside of the main riverside ancient town. It takes about 10 minutes on foot to reach the famous bridges along the river. The walk towards the ancient is very pleasant and scenic. There are restaurants nearby so eating is no issue. The ride to the hotel was paid for by the owner. We stayed a night there and took a cab back to the railway station which cost ¥21. The room is spacious and clean. The owner of the hotel is very helpful and friendly. She recommends local eateries and shopping places which are really good. She cooks a simple breakfast for us in the morning. It's really value for money.

Hotel is very clean, modern , quiet with elevator. Hotels along river are more noisy, and you need to drag luggage through steps and cobble stone lanes (no cars allowed in ancient town tourism zone). 15 min walk to river areas. Chinese breakfast only. Complimentary pick up from high-speed rail station and welcoming fresh fruits on arrival. Lots of eateries nearby and along the river (with sides). You need to call (message thru WeChat) in advance to book arrival pick up. Pick up is at an underground level of the train station. From train station to hotel is about 20 mins. Owner also provided free transfer back to train station, a real bonus! Chinese breakfast only. No or limited english. Great Value!

A good place to stay if you don’t like the noise and crowd. Hotel staff were helpful and went the extra mile to help make travel arrangements for us. The hotel pickup service was useful too.

Good stay - one thing I didn't like was that it seemed the boss kept trying to persuade us to use private cars which were so much more expensive than just getting a taxi
