Seven point Homestay (Phoenix Ancient City Maglev Range Rover Station Branch)

I had a great stay. Hotel is situated on the outskirts of the Ancient town, 20 mins walking distance, accessible by the river, bus, taxi or scooter. There is no DiDi available when we arrived. I really hope that will changed. The schedule of the buses are not displayed. However, when standing on the street, we had scooter taxi stopping for us. A ride to the Ancient city is ¥7. They did over charged us but we were happy to finally get out under the scorching sun, so we didn’t mind. All the taxis passing by us were fully booked. The hotel is great and new. They were doing some refurbishment so the swimming pool was not open. Despite that, the room was as shown on the pictures, very clean and spacious. They provided mosquitoes racket and plug in. There were a lot of mosquitoes and flies, in the corridor. be aware bring your sprays too. Same in town too. The receptionists were really good and very helpful during the entire stay. They added us on WeChat and we could communicate like that. They help us ordering a taxi on the departure day. The hotel is a good location but the lack of transport makes it hard to get to the Ancient town above when it so hot outside. The bed was soft and nice to sleep in. The air conditioning was properly working. The cleaning service was great. Daily cleaning and they were waiting for us to be out to clean. The welcome fruits basket were delicious. I didn’t make it for breakfast. We were able to wash our clothes and air dry them. Quicker than a dryer. I had an excellent stay there.

Beautifully designed room, with classy and new furniture. Very great service and comfortable bed. They are still under renovation so the pool wasn’t available during my stay. The free laundry gives it a 5/5 though.

Perfect hotel stay. The hotel staff are so lovely and helped us with so many things including our photography session in the ancient town as well as transfers. The room was clean and well laid out.

We had such a delightful experience at this homestay that we chose to optimise our stay the next morning. Opened in 2023/24, the property is impressively well-maintained. Guests were treated to complimentary transportation to or from the train station, and a gift was presented during the stay. Every staff member—from the front desk to the versatile breakfast cook to the driver—was exceptionally friendly and courteous. We were particularly touched by Mr Chen, who generously offered his free time for a complimentary tour of the ancient town, his hometown, prior to his afternoon shift. He also extended his photography service during the two-hour-long tour. We couldn’t be more grateful for his kindness and hospitality as he declined our tip. The homestay operator is fortunate to have such a dedicated and welcoming team member. Areas for improvement: (a) Install an iron in the laundry area to enhance guest convenience. (b) Place cleanliness reminder labels in the breakfast area to encourage guests to use new/clean tableware for second helpings. (c) Label food items, especially local specialties like vermicelli.

The service here is the best I’ve ever experienced. Every single staff member from the front desk lady, to the night shift guy, to the driver, all went above and beyond to be warm and welcoming and made our stay super memorable. We ran into some bug issues due to the windows being left open after dark but they immediately moved us to another room and were extremely apologetic. And when the driver took us to the train station at the end of our stay, he found out we didn’t have breakfast, so he made a surprise pit stop and got us some food when we didn’t ask for it 🥺 he said “you can’t go without breakfast”. Didn’t take any pics of the room since I don’t usually post reviews but the rooms were super nice and clean too 🙂 The location was great in that it’s at the beginning of the scenic area so you can just walk on one side all the way down and back up on the other side and explore everything. Big modern apartment with smart systems. Very kind staff. Location perfect. Right at the Maglev train elevator. We regret that didn’t try this train because lack of time. Town itself is very beautiful especially at night, a lot of live music and lively atmosphere. 7 km out of town is Giant panda park, wide and not crowded. Pandas are funny and park is recommended.
