Surf and Sand Fernandina Beach at Amelia Island, Ascend Hotel Collection

Pretty nice place. Newly renovated, 1 black to the beach. Nothing fancy but super easy in and out and its awesome to always have a parking spot and not have to worry about it

Ok Stay Near the Beach It’s a beach hotel, not far from the beach. Nice skatepark close by for the kids. Not as clean of a hotel as we’d hoped. Sofa had hair and stains. Shower wasn’t the cleanest nor were the beds. Beds were not that comfortable but nice enough place for one night.

This was our 1st visit to Amelia Island..we originally booked with the Mariott but it was expensive as Mariott is. We then changed for a, mom and pop hotel across the street from the Mariott. Saved us $300( ). It was good, cleanliness was excellent. The staff were inviting and sweet..The room had a comfy King bed, and all the amenities we needed..They except pets for a fee. Parking was not a problem. Hot breakfast in the morning was ok.The best thing is location. The Beach is a few minutes walk (2/3 at most). Same as the Mariott. There are 2 restaurants that we dined at again walking distance. The Sandbar and Good Life Salt Shack. Both nice ocean views.. The hotel was quiet, had a pool and gym. We would highly recommend a stay here. If your looking for classier, for $300 more the Mariott is across the street. Also the hotel is next door to Fort Clinch which was amazing and a must see..

The property was clean and quiet. My children enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. We plan on staying here again.

Nice stay Staff friendly, we were in a room that was close to a street and it was hard not to hear the traffic noise. Dispensers in the bathroom were empty, Breakfast was just okay. Be prepared to pay $12 a night for parking. Plumbing needs to be updated.

The coffee maker in our room was disgustingly filthy. No hooks in the bathroom to hang towels up. Usually, there is a pen and paper on the desk -no such thing! I Didn't dare try the ice machine for fear of mold. Coffee didn't taste like anything but watered down whatever and the breakfast wasn't anything to brag about. My husband wanted ketchup for his eggs, and they acted like they never heard of it!! We won't stay there again.
