We had a wonderful stay at Fernie Stanford Hotel & Waterpark! We arrived early and even though our room wasn’t ready, the staff kindly let us use the waterpark — such a thoughtful gesture, especially with kids. When the shower in our original room didn’t work, they went above and beyond by upgrading us to a beautiful 2-bedroom condo with a full kitchen. It was spacious, clean, and perfect for our stay. The free breakfast was nice, though I do wish there were more hot food options beyond waffles and cereal. Overall, excellent customer service and a lovely experience. Highly recommend!

Mountain View meaning straight away on the highway - loud and not a chance to get a room in the back. Breakfast of really poor quality - only fresh product remaining was one last orange an hour before the end of breakfast.specifically as an European I will never understand the throw away plastic cutlery concept. Takes away the breakfast rooms rustic charme in a blink of an eye - Canada you can do better. Staff seemed modestly motivated, along with the overall state of the premises. Unused potential nestled between the mountains.

Property is extremely outdated and is quite dirty. No thorough cleaning of the bathroom, very obviously just want to cash in on tourists. Would recommend staying elsewhere.

When pulling into the hotel lot I discovered I drove over broken glass. I reported it immediately and no one cleaned it up until the next day. I felt this was not acceptable!

The hotel, especially the pool, is great for our kids. The location suits our needs directly on the river. We have been clients of this place for several years. We have always rented a condo and have always been given the same unit, condo 518. It's fun to go back to the same it feels like we are walking in a second home, but there has always been issues with this unit that is not very well maintained. The patio screen door has had a hole in it for years. The lock on the patio door has been broken for years. I don't think that the window frames have ever been cleaned, they don't open very well. In the past we've had a leaking toilet problem that did not look like it was a new problem. This time, we walked in to a broken fridge that was not a new problem but nobody said anything and our check in was late by an hour. With the price of this place that increased drastically in the last 3 years but the quality that stayed average at best, I don't know that we will be returning to this place.
