Hotel Rural Brícia du Mar

Upgrade upon arrival. Asked for a quiet room and given a quiet room. Very modern, clean rooms. Pool area lovely. Gym very good, lots of equipment. Booked a further 2 nights and given the upgrade again to stay in the same room as the hotel was quiet. This is what I would expect however, it doesn’t often happen so pleased it did.

I recently stayed at Bricia Du Mar and it was a fabulous experience. Every staff member was exceptional (friendly, helpful, professional) including the reception staff (especially Victor); the restaurant, pool bar and breakfast staff - each was professional, friendly and accommodated menu changes to suit personal taste; the cleaning staff (especially the morning staff member who looked after the gym); the night reception staff member (who deserves a special mention for assisting me via email before I arrived and was so helpful with my earlier check out, taxi transfer etc). The accommodation was very well maintained, with lots of storage, nicely decorated, and a good kitchenette - ideal for a short break. The grounds were beautifully maintained, and the pool area was a lovely relaxing and quite space. The gym was excellent with lots of equipment, well maintained and very clean. It would be great if the gym opened earlier to allow more time to use in the morning and to get to breakfast on time, without needing to rush. Also, it lacks air conditioning which made cardio work quite uncomfortable, despite being usually cold outside for the time of year. Dining options included the pool bar during the day and the restaurant in the evening. The food and service in both were excellent. The breakfast was also of a very good standard, lots of options and the buffet was replenished continuously. Without hesitation, I recommend Bricia du Mar. Everything about the hotel was excellent but the staff were even better. We have already recommended this hotel to several of our friends and we would be very happy to return there

The property is lovely and well taken care of. The ladies at reception were especially helpful as well as the staff being respectful and doing a great job. The food in both of the restaurants was quite good. Our three days stay

Called in to the restaurant by chance for coffee whilst out for a walk from our base in Ferragudo. If you happen to be tempted to do the same at the nearby Hotel Casabella, I would advise you not to bother ( they don’t serve non residents and the welcome was less than warm ). Instead head straight to the Bricia du Mar. We were welcomed and accommodated most warmly, they even raided the breakfast menu to find some delicious pastel de nata at our request, well after breakfast time. The weather was not perfect but we sat outside and followed coffee with a jug of sangria. However, the rain arrived and we were immediately accommodated inside. We heartily recommend all the dishes we ordered, (steak, pork and sea bream) every one was delicious, as was the wine. Throughout we were served by the charming and courteous Marcos who attended to our every need. The whole experience was positive and much appreciated. Thank you.
