This was for the domestic flight portion of W. Aisha who received us was great.
Perhaps due to lower occupancy we took quite an early seaplane back to the airport and had a 7h layover.

Wow. To start, please view my many reviews I’ve made on TripAdvisor on my profile - I NEVER write bad reviews. I always pick hotels carefully based on others’ reviews and they always exceed my expectations. This is the first time that I have been treated with such utter disrespect and rudeness and have experienced the worst customer experience I’ve ever had (I think even 2 star hotels have provided better experience to me in the past.) If you are considering the w Maldives or in fact any W hotel chain, I beg you to take your had earned money elsewhere. There are so many incredibly fantastic hotels in the Maldives that will actually treat you like a priority especially for the money you are paying so you can enjoy your vacation but W and the Marriott brand in general will treat you like trash. This is the worst resort I’ve ever been to - lying on the bill, terrible cut corner food, etc. I wouldn’t be writing this if I did not want to give you fair warning before booking - they may be remodeling but nothing can mask the insanely bad customer service and heartache you will have to come across. Don’t say I didn’t warn you - book elsewhere, you will regret spending over $1k /night when there are so many other incredible hotels in the Maldives. Please book somewhere that actually values you and cares about their reputation and not just scamming you (can’t believe I’m writing this)

DO NOT BOOK HERE PERIOD. I planned for 2yrs to go to this hotel. I booked in JUNE they emailed me my reservations were canceled in NOV. Despite the fact I called 6times and multiple emails. When I called to see how they could make this right, NO ONE helped me. Stay away from Marriott and the W brand. So sad!

Whatever Whenever!!! Incredible service. Magical beauty surrounding this place. I understand they are renovating now so I want talk about the physical place. The breakfast buffett was amazing. The sushi at the bar was amazing. Not impressed by the seafood restaurant. BUT... I would go back if I returned to places more than once. Which I don't. But the whatever whenever was so great! Yes it's expensive but what do you expect? It's a tiny speck of sand in the middle of nowhere that offers everything. SO IMPRESSED! Snorkeling was AMAZING. The service at the airport and seaplane and then the return was perfect. Cant speak highly enough of this resort.

Just finished a 5 night stay at the W in Maldives. Truly an amazing experience. The resort is gorgeous, the food fantastic and the staff phenomenal. The overwater rooms are tastefully decorated and private, the pool inviting and the snorkeling some of the best we’ve seen right off the beach. My wife and I have had the privilege of traveling the world staying at a number of 5-star hotels and we remarked this one is probably the best stay of any hotels. The staff made the difference. To a person, they were always smiling, helpful and did their best to anticipate our every needs. Speaking with them, they seem happy at the hotel and a great many have been working this resort for over 10 years. I can’t say enough good things about this resort. PS: be mindful seaplanes are required to arrive here and their service isn’t to this level of quality… but the hotel took care of the details.

W Resort Maldives 22-26 April 2024 Arriving at Male , we were immediately greeted and taken to the lounge where we waited for our seaplane . As our flight from Thailand was delayed we had missed our Seaplane and had to take the next one which was a few hours later. Wasn’t a great start but the lounge was comfortable and refreshments were available. We were greeted by Mr.Saito , who gave us a welcome drink and a nice tour of the Island. The check in was already handled at the lounge in Male which made everything seamless as soon as we got to the hotel , that little touch really goes a long way to the comfort and first impression. The bar team Mr. Ajit made sure we were having a great time as well as keeping us hydrated. We were pleasantly greeted by Fit guy Marq who made us feel comfortable and introduced us to all the activities available . Kadek and Ajit looked after us throughout our trip , thank you guys and we really hope to see you again next time. Special shout out to Mr. Moosa for always checking in on us and recommending chef Baka that gave us a true culinary experience in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Chef Baka catered to our taste buds and blew us away with the local flavors . Furthermore with the help of Mr.Moosa who introduced us to chef Orn that made us “Pad Ka Prow ” (extra spicy just how we like it !) our local comfort food, it hit the spot after a long nice day of swimming. Can’t thank them enough for really making our experience unique. The room : Well maintained with breathtaking views. All kinds of marine life was present which got us all very excited. The property : The beach doesn’t get any better than that . Crystal clear waters , perfect blue skies , a true paradise. W resort Maldives has gone above and beyond our experience and the staff really made it for us. Everyone had a big genuine smile on their faces and was always eager to “Whatever , Whenever” us. I recently visited the W for business purposes in April. The resort was amazing particularly the restaurant FISH and the hospitality from Dila and the team. I would 100% recommend the W to clients and event purposes. Myself and the team truly enjoyed our stay.

Very detail-oriented customer experience, people in the resort truly care about the guests, big thank you especially to Ishara, Kadek and Anice for always putting a smile on their and our face. They did our best to accommodate us up to our expectations, considering our preferences and wishes. Breakfast buffet had a wide variety of choices, evenings at Sip were wonderful, thanks to the friendliest staff and amazing sea views.

Faaig & sharuu from the loss prevention team surprised us with two personalized Maldivian foot ball jerseys of the national team with out names and this was a beautiful present and memory that we will never forget especially as we are football Jersey fans 😍❤️❤️❤️❤️

It would have been a 2-3 star review as the first 24 hours wasn’t quite what we were hoping and it’s safe to say that the rooms will benefit from the imminent closing and refurbishing. It is a 5 star review however as problems in life are inevitable and it is how you deal with them. I have to say Claire Gruel and Steven Schmid were impeccable in their professionalism and made sure our 9 days in W was truly fabulous, which it was. The rest of the staff were incredible and too many to mention. We shall look forward to returning again in the future.

We liked everything - service, our villa, food and very nice house reef! We saw turtles, famous big bird George, who was very friendly. We also had massage treatment which was very relaxing and after infused us energy. We do recommend to come and have a fantastic vacation here!
