Twin room quaint with netting over the bed and very thin bath towels shaped into swans. Check in time 3pm and checkout 12md. Can organise very reasonably priced excellent Thai massage via reception. Restaurant- poor service and meal disappointing- had tough steak and soggy chips. Short down hill walk to harbour and restaurants

Like some of reviwers have said, the room was decorated with flowers and towel-swans and there was flowers in the bathroom also. The bed had a net over it. Well, I didn't mind! It made me smile - I walked the Camino and after having some awful experiences too and after sleeping in one room and sharing toilet and shower with several people this room had a very comfy bed, nice colours, toilet and hot shower only for me and it was clean. That's all that matters! How much are you staying in your room anyway? Also, I loved the pictures in the hall - they were peacful. Breakfast was more European-style than other places I had stayed - toast, jams, butter, fruits, yogurth, pastries (not home made), juice, coffee, tea, cereals. The usual "I don't speak Spanish, they don't speak English" makes communicating a little bit hard. I thought that I booked a room with a bath but there wasn't one and I didn't remember that well did I or didn't I and I did not want to go ask because they didn't undrestand me when I was checking in and asked if there was a bath or shower and got for an answer that there is and it's very big. Probably they were talking about the bed... altough I was showing with my hands shower and bath. Oh well, didn't bother me that much anyway, that's just how the language is there. And my memory. The restaurant was quite expensive. But walking to the lighthouse is just on that road, supermercado and bars are also near. Beach is about 10-15 minutes of walking.

We weren't to sure what to expect however the price was good and the staff friendly and helpful. The room was delightful with a good bathroom too. It is within walking distance to all places. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and the food was very good and plentiful. We would stay here again. It was an excellent place to finish our Camino de Santiago 800kms. Thank you

On entering our room, we did wonder if we had stepped back to about 1985. The bedroom and bathroom were awash with bright red flowers and towels fashioned to look like swans. It was a little bit OTT but we were walking the Camino Finisterre so as long as our room had 2 comfortable beds and a shower, we were happy! Once we'd shifted all the flowers and swans, and tucked the unnecessary mosquito nets behind the headboards, we had a cosy (OK, small) room with 2 single beds, a tiny table, a chair that was straight out of a wedding reception room (white cover, red bow!) and, we discovered, only one plug socket between the 2 beds. As both of us wanted to charge our phones, one of us had to plug in in the bathroom (not ideal with electrical stuff). We didn't eat in the restaurant but when we came back to the hotel after dinner, we found dozens of little tealights and little lanterns lighting our way up the stairs and all along each corridor. Very pretty! It's a handy place to stay whether you're just visiting Finisterre or you're there as part of a long walk (Camino). From the hotel, you can walk to Cape Finisterre lighthouse in about half an hour or take the much longer route all the way to the Cape. After walking for 5 hours in the morning, we plumped for just the extra trip to the lighthouse. Amazing views out to the Atlantic.

We first stayed in the Hotel Ancora 7 years ago and we have been made so welcome in this wonderful friendly, family hotel. It’s a fairly simple hotel, but very clean and comfortable with all rooms en suite. It has a great kitchen – absolutely delicious seafood, some of the best I have ever eaten, and a relaxed bar where we passed many hours chatting with locals, pilgrims of all nationalities coming off the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, and just watching the gentle slow world of Finisterre unfold. It’s a 5 minute walk in one direction from the beautiful port, and 5 minutes in the other direction is the stunning wild and often deserted Mare del Fora – a great place to watch the sunset. Its great value. Do go and stay here Estibaliz and Manuel (who have recently taken over the hotel from her parents) will make you extremely welcome.

We reserved a place at Hotel Ancora through *********** on June 13th. When I reserved, the price was euros 49. Instead, when I arrived, I found out that they charged me euros 65. I tried to explain the situation, they didn't listen, we argued and, in the end, they chased us away, my son and I. We apologized, ready to pay the 65 euros, but they didn't want us to stay. We couldn't remain at their hotel for the night. We expected they would cancel the booking and give the money back to us. Instead, coup the theatre, they kept the money by saying we didn't respect the reservation. Liers!!

Hotel room very noisy. Entered room for 5 minutes and could hear toilets flushing every minute. Went to reception to ask to move. They refused as I had been in the room and there were no cleaners on duty to disinfect it, so i was stuck with a super noisy room. They also refused straight away to move me for the next night, this I find totally unacceptable, there's no reason not to. Very bad customer service.

少し不思議な内装のホテルです。部屋に入ると、ウェルカムドリンクとして、カバが一本冷やして置いてありました。テーブルの上にはグラスとチョコレート。嬉しいサービスでした。
