Residenza la Musa Amarcord

We stayed 3 nights to start our honeymoon in Italy. From the warm and friendly welcome in reception, the well appointed room to the quite yet perfectly placed location we couldn’t fault anything about this hotel! Everything about Residenza La Musa Amarcord was perfect. The hotel is located on a quiet side street very close to the Uffizi Gallery. The reception staff we met during our stay were very friendly, personable and incredibly helpful. Our room was excellent, with a big comfortable bed, spacious bathroom with a large roll top bath and separate shower. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and can’t wait to visit again!

We had a lovely stay and Ambra could not have been more helpful and friendly and gave us great recommendations for our stay. This is a small boutique hotel in a stunningly renovated old space that retained its natural beauty but with stylish upgrades amidst that. This is in a quieter area of Florence but it’s very close to many key sights and right by the river. Maybe 5 min walk to Uffizi or Santa Croce and many other sights only a lovely and scenic 10-15 min walk (Duomo) and train station (20 min) . We had one of the most basic rooms and even that was lovely with a nice window overlooking Florence rooftops. A great value and just a beautiful quiet space all around Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful experience at this simply great hotel. Nice room with large comfortable bed, well appointed with modern upgrades. Kitschy, cool vibe and design touches throughout common areas and bar. Staff were friendly and helpful, and all entry/check-in process worked smoothly. Location is perfect for walking everywhere throughout the city center, as well as across the river. Definitely worth booking.

The hotel is perfectly located—on a quiet street in the heart of the city center. It is stunningly beautiful and the service is prompt and gracious. We had a minor mechanical issue in our room (likely caused by our ignorance to Italian systems) and the concierge had it remedied before we return from our from our museum tour. The hosts truly want each guest to have a wonderful stay.

No words will do this place justice. It's a gem. It has been so cleverly restored and decorated to perfection. There is thought behind every detail and object. Photos don't do it justice. The atmosphere is beyond expectations. And so is the incredible breakfast. The room itself (we stayed in the superior) had a large shower, different pillows depending on your preference, firm but not stiff/hard bed, easy temperature management and cosy lighting. We lacked nothing. Last but not least what makes this the ultimate place to stay is Ambra and Pamela that were a delight to encounter every day. We received personal message prior to arrival and a handwritten personal note to thank us as we left. I would come back in a heartbeat

Such an absolutely lovely hotel. This place is really special both in its atmosphere and attention to detail but also the wonderful staff. We've been spoiled by the delicious breakfasts served daily in the downstairs dining area. Can't decide which I liked more the dining room decor or the breakfast choices. Starting off the day with the prettiest and most delicious cappuccino and following it up with all sorts of sweets, cakes, pastries, ham & cheese, cereal, quiche, yogurt, scrambled eggs and bacon (and I am not remembering it all). All of this is served on the prettiest mismatched china you've ever seen -- very boho, shabby chic! Our room was the one with the "oven" that now houses a flat screen TV. Love how they've maintained the original character and also repurposed some older elements. Our shower was large and had good water pressure. I also luxuriated in a soaking tub with some lovely bath salts that the hotel gifted us. I also loved the hotel artwork that included antique photos and original portraits of various people. Right outside our room there was a lovely portrait of a young girl with the most beautiful blue eyes. I enjoyed seeing her during our comings and goings!
