Hotel Ginori Al Duomo recensioner

I've just arrived back from a short, three night, stay at Hotel Gironi Al Duomo and wanted to express my thanks to the lovely staff. It's a small hotel twenty three room, boutique, hotel and very well situated for all that central Florence has to offer. The hotel itself has a modest exterior but it belies the size of the premises which, whilst still compact, are perfect for a short stay. The building is old but you wouldn't guess it is 16th century old and you can see that it's been treated, and maintained with love and affection. Most of the guests seemed to be from the States/Canada but there were a few Brits and everyone got along just fine. There's a small pool/jacuzzi area and that was really welcome as the heat topped 38c on the weekend that the Tour de France was in town. I was particularly impressed with the hotel staff. On every level you could tell that they took a pride in their jobs, the hotel, and their lovely city of Florence.
