The View Hotel Folkestone, a member of Radisson Individuals

Absolutely loved my stay I've stayed here before but this was the best one yet , I had the largest bed in the hotel all to myself, I had lovely chilled evenings on the balcony I was meant to just stay one night end up booking 2, the staff are lovely and very friendly and chatty, Paula has been here for years and very accommodating I can't wait to come back next year. Always bring ear plugs if you dont like some out door noise buy at 6am on the balcony watching the sun rise , there is not a soul around and you can hear the waves crashing its absolute bliss ❤️

Cracking location, close to the centre of town. Gorgeous sea views. Parking directly outside the hotel. Welcoming bar area & nice lunch menu. Our room was a little tired, but fine for one night. Breakfast was ok, not great. Good variety but cooked breakfast was overcooked.

The whole experience was of a superb short break in a wonderful hotel in a beautiful resort. Just a ten minute walk to the centre. Parking, no issues, plenty, all sorted at reception.

Excellent staff especially reception. Everything was very good except the WiFi which was constantly dropping out. Wouldn’t put me off staying again though.

Perfect location for all the delights of Folkestone and absolutely fantastic value. Right on The Leas, there’s a glorious view of the ever-changing sea and sky from many (most?) rooms and from the friendly bar. Spacious, comfortable room equipped with everything you need. A great breakfast and delightful staff complete the picture.

I booked this hotel using Avios points and topped up with a small payment. On arrival Paulina, the receptionist sorted my £10 parking for 2 days and then asked for full payment for the room and parking! I explained that I had paid for the room, as stated above, and she photocopied the 'cash' part of my payment and asked for payment of the balance. I explained again that I had used Avios points and she took payment for parking saying that she would look into the situation and added complimentary breakfast to our booking. I thanked her, telling her that I thought it was more than generous and went to our room. Jamie kindly took our bags for us as the lift was out of order. We were on the 3rd floor (6 flights of stairs), a cosy small room. We both have Knee replacement and arthritis in various other places , so asked for a room change which was willingly dealt with. We were 'upgraded' to a standard room which was very nice and the complementary breakfast was lovely. When we checked out I was told that full payment was still required and going through the paperwork yet again, I realized that we were booked into a Classic room! I felt that we had been downgraded in the first place and when I mentioned it the receptionist made no comment and I didn't press the matter as he still hadn't sorted the problem out. People were queuing and I suggested that I go and the hotel sort this situation with Avios. He agreed, took my phone number and we left. I have not received a call from them to date! It has rather soured what was in every other respect a very pleasant stay in a very nice hotel with absolutely lovely staff.

The hotel looks well maintained both inside and out...BUT the lift was not working presnting a painful hazard for octogenarians with recent knee transplants. The buffet breakfasts were good and constantly replenished. The evening menua, served in the bar not the adjacent restaurant were fine, but one item was costantly "off" and the choice thus limited for a weeks stay. The room was good,large, and clean, but no rezor point in the bathroom,. The single size duvet was to narrow but the bed was comfortable . Parking was on the road with a £5 per day chage whether or not you found a space

Professional set up efficient friendly and helpful staff great cocktails and great food we’ll be back again this was my fourth visit 👍
