Sandgate Hotel

Lovely coffee, wine and pizza here, great staff. So glad this hotel has reopened, it is a lovely place to sit and look at the sea. The pizza was amazing, the staff attentive, absolutely recommend a visit.

Service was great. Drinks were lovely. Children’s pizza was huge, probably too big. We had a pasta dish and it was delicious!! Just wish there was more. We came with 3 toddlers who are still in nappies and unfortunately there’s no changing station. It ended up having to be 2 people to change 1 toddler as we didn’t want to lay our children on the bathroom floor. Prices for everything is very reasonable. Great view, staff & atmosphere.

The hotel has only recently reopened and has a few teething problems but has great potential. We had a sea facing room with a lovely little balcony. When we booked I was told that the room was newly opened and it showed on a few areas. That was reflected in the price. The location is superb and we arrived on a Saturday c 3 pm, check in time, and had no issues parking. The bar at the front of the hotel, with outside seating, is a great space to relax and have a drink. We spoke to the owner and was assured that the issues will soon be rectified. As we have friends in the area we will return.

Popped in for a meeting was warmly welcomed by owner Dean, they have only just opened classy decor, tasty lunch and spectacular views, highly recommend! This is the perfect summer spot for lunch and quick pint or a nice lounge soaking in those beautiful views!
