Beach Club Font de Sa Cala

The hotel overall is lovely and clean, lots to do, perfect for kids with 3 pools, mini golf and entertainment. Right across from a stunning beach too, and the hotel gardens are beautifully landscaped with hibiscus and palms. The food was really good, lots of fresh fish and variety for each meal, and the Pizzeria was brilliant too. We loved the fresh tuna, the beautiful salad and paella. The mini train to Cala Agulla was a highlight. This beach is breathtaking and well worth a visit! We loved looking for geckos at night and the spotted flycatchers in the trees near the mini golf. The things we thought could be improved were the kids pool bar being closed on Fridays. I’ve never known a pool bar to be closed in all inclusive hotel during peak season. The pool bars also didn’t seem to serve cocktails, only the inside bars after 6.30pm. There are 2 restaurants upstairs for your evening meal but we were confused as we were only ever directed to go into the left one, and we’re still unaware what the right one is for as no one told us. We felt that the hotel reception could be more informative with what they tell you upon arrival. We didn’t know that tennis was included if you’re all inclusive and mini golf was too, we had to go and ask. The ground around the kids splash pool needed a clean as it was green and slippery in places near the ramp. The glass screens between the California pool and the attached baby pool needed a good clean. The lifeguards are pointless too, one sat there clipping a walkie talkie onto their toes and another sat staring at their phone for ages. These are the things that we felt needed improving to maintain 4 stars. Overall it was a great holiday, and we would recommend this hotel to families with kids, but definitely a few things that could be improved to make it stand out.

Great Hotel, fantastic animation team! Lots to do within the hotel grounds, beach about 100m away. Food selection was great, plenty choice. No fights for sun beds!! Only thing is only 1 bottle of water provided. You have to buy your own thereafter. Cala Rajada is a short taxi ride/ bus or walk along the coast.

This is a great hotel for families with children (both small and older). However, for me it was not an advantage because the children were too noisy during meals in the restaurant. Nice pools and close to the beach. I did not feel any inconvenience due to the senior tennis tournament. Nice evening entertainment.After reporting a minor fault with the toilet flush, it was quickly repaired.

The hotel was in a lovely location, across the road from the beach. It was clean and tidy. Food was good quality and good choice. Hotel was aimed more at Germans and French than English including the entertainment and lack of translation to English. Most of the bar staff were rude and would move things about pointlessly instead of serving customers. I am well aware I have chosen to visit a foreign country and so I tried to use the local language just to be laughed at.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The location was absolutely perfect, making it easy to access to many beautiful beaches and enjoy the surrounding area. The food was also top-notch, with a variety of delicious options that left me impressed every day. There were plenty of activities to keep you entertained. However, as basketball players, I did notice that the hoops could use some updating. They’re still playable, and we had fun, but a refresh would definitely make the experience even better. Overall, I had a wonderful time, and I’d definitely recommend this hotel—especially if you're not too focused on basketball facilities. It’s still a fantastic place to relax and enjoy your stay!

Good points We were all inclusive. The hotel was clean and tidy and our beds were very comfortable with daily maid service. The air conditioning worked well and there was plenty of hot water with excellent water pressure. The food was excellent throughout , with all restaurants offering a wide selection of good quality well made food items. I am very particular about food hygiene and cleanliness and the buffet was very clean well maintained by the catering staff- this was a highlight of the hotel for me. Drinks were great and could be made however you wanted. Ice creams and snacks were tasty and available throughout the day. Pool areas were clean and well maintained and the choice of different pools means you could choose whether to get involved in the activities or be more relaxed. Activities round the pool and the complex were well organised and good fun with no pressure to join in if you didn’t want to. No high rise buildings in this complex giving a traditional cosy friendly Spanish feel. Hotel staff were friendly polite and helpful. Close proximity to 2 lovely small public beaches and rocky outcrops, one with a lifeguard and beach bar/grill ( this is not part of the hotel) There is a small souvenir shop which is reasonably priced and has some nice items. Some of the evening entertainment was very enjoyable, we enjoyed the rock band, the flamenco dancing and the Mongolian acrobats. The resort is quiet and family oriented and we felt very safe in the area and felt welcomed. Less positive points There is a shower curtain in the bathroom which seems peculiar for a 4 star hotel and a little unhygienic but it was functional It can be confusing to understand what food is served at what time and at what restaurant so don’t be afraid to ask if you are not sure as it’s not always clear what is happening where At evening times the buffet is busiest around 8pm with some queues for table and it can feel a little hectic, and the tex mex and pizzeria are not available after 18.30. At peak season it would make sense to have all three places open for evening meals to ease queues and provide better choice. Some of the evening shows were a bit hit and miss Other useful things to note - There are no toiletries in the bathrooms so bring your own as the shops locally only have a very small selection There are no tea/ coffee facilities in the room though there are microwaves in the corridor areas for warming baby bottles. If you want to have tea and coffee between 11pm/ 8am you need to bring a travel kettle and supplies. This is a very quiet resort which suited us but may not suit everyone - if you want lively nightlife this is not the place for you This is a very family oriented hotel , with lots and lots of children and the usual noise that kids bring. This suited us as we were there as a family. If spending time with other peoples children is not for you or you want a romantic couples only break this is likely not your best choice of hotel. Ove
