White Bay recensioner

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and had a lovely, romantic time. We hadn’t traveled to Sicily before and were a little nervous about the reviews this hotel had received. However, we didn’t experience any of the issues described by other travelers. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and chatty. This includes everyone from the reception team, breakfast team, cleaning team, beach team—everyone was great! Carol, who checked us in on the first night, had set up beautiful honeymoon balloons in our room, which really made our stay special. One of the reception team members (sorry we didn’t get your name) helped us deal with a parking ticket, which was very helpful! This is not an international tourist resort, so don’t expect everyone to speak fluent English. To be honest, this adds to the charm of the place. It’s a real hidden gem, and I’m surprised it hasn’t been discovered by the world yet! The location is beautiful. It’s a public beach, so there will sometimes be people there early or late, but we always managed to find a spot. It’s fairly quiet apart from some music one night. We had a beach balcony, so we could run from our balcony straight into the sea! The rooms are more beach-style but come with plenty of amenities such as toothbrushes and sleep masks. The bed is very, very comfy! Breakfast is out of this world. It features every type of Italian pastry you could ask for—ricotta-filled croissants, doughnuts, cakes, savory items—very incredible! Fantastic coffee and friendly staff. Breakfast is served with a view of the sea in a lovely restaurant. We would recommend having a car if you stay here, but we found some fantastic local restaurants in the area serving Sicilian food! The restaurant at the hotel is a bit more high-end but offers beautiful wine and pasta dishes if you’re looking for something a little more formal. The spa—wow! We were lucky enough to experience it, and what a treat. This is a beautiful sea-facing pool with various steam rooms. It’s cooling, relaxing—everything you would want! This resort was perfect for our honeymoon. We had the best time, and it was really made special by choosing White Bay to stay. Thank you to the whole team for your hospitality—we wish we could be back there now.

We wanted to cancel the booking after reading some bad reviews online but they wouldn't let us. Regardless, we managed our expectations beforehand... Facility: 3/5 very basic. We added an extra bed and they put the smallest single mattress we have ever seen on the side of the room. Cleanliness: 3/5 the floor isn't very clean. We stayed for a few nights but don't think they changed the sheets. View: 4/5 nice view. Beach: 4/5 Direct access to the beach. However, it's public so the beach isn't too clean. Convenience: 2/5 hotel is far from everything. We don't drive so we ended up spending hundreds of euro every day. If you don't have a car, don't stay there. Service: 3/5 receptionists don't speak English very well. Not sure if it's the language barrier but they don't come across as friendly. Breakfast: 2.5/5 very average food for our taste. Limited selections - bacon, scrambled eggs and pastry. P.S. no complimentary water. They charge for the bottled water in the room.

Very nice and modern hotel, located right on the beach. Stayed in room with the jacuzzi with the ocean view. Sea Water is clear, can see fish around you. Nice decor, great amenities and design, friendly staff, good food. Perfect ! Special thanks for a great massage - molto molto molto bene !!! Highly recommend. Salute to all of the staff ! What more can I say. Our own pathway to the beach with less than 10meters to the water and even more WOW was having our own private pool on the terrace over looking the sea. The Staff were amazing with customer care at highest level. This location, venue, quality of meals are exceptional. For anyone interested, please book the wellness & Spa experience at Whitebay. You will be amazed. Thank you Sophia, Marika, Valentina for bringing us much love & care. We will be back. © Loved it all...

The worst service ever, we booked through the phone, apparently they sent some "confirmation" on WhatsApp, which we never agreed on, with IBAN / Revolut on private name (not company or the hotel) . The room had a "view "of the reception door, no sunlight, beach was public ,super small and dirty, the lady on the phone didn't said they would charge us 50 euro a person for "solarium" bed on their terrace which was also small and dirty. I wont recommend this place to anyone who has some self respect

Definatley my new Happy Place!!! Relaxing and excellent service. Extremely clean and very efficient staff members ...of whom always had a smile on their faces!!! Most comfortable beds and pillows and soooooo silent I could've slept the whole time!!!! Totally unforgettable SPA experience...I recommend it to all types of travel...especially if you're simply looking at relaxing and being pampered. Great structure ...cant wait to go back .

Been for a week at the Whitebay and will surely revisit. Rooms out of this world. If you book a seaview, your veranda is just 3 steps from the lovely sandy beach. You can book the spa entirely for you. With an indoor heated pool looking over the beach, sauna and showers. Breakfast very good with a wide choice of italian goodies and with an incredible view. We had dinner in the restaurant and when asked for dinner in room food and service were impeccable. Receptionists and all the staff were very welcoming and made our stay an unforgettable one. Well done to all, we will miss you but you'll definitely see us again.

Was so excited to stay at this hotel but the pandemic hit and we were unable to visit. They gave us a "good will" of 12 months to rebook but we were still unable to visit due to the pandemic. I tried to escalate and this was impossible. Terrible customer service and would not recommend!

Had a cancelled outbound flight so couldn’t make booked night tried to change date as was in Sicily for a week….they had rooms & nights available but just wanted me to rebook & pay again not interested in trying to help or accommodate us … poor attitude as I believe hotels should be welcoming as possible ….shame as I really wanted stay but not so much that I’d pay twice.

We are an Italian couple who had a really nice stay for five days in this hotel in front of the beach. The rooms are modern and clean and I especially enjoyed the shower which is very big and comfortable. The staff was amazing, they are helpful with everything. I read a previous review that was complaining about the extra charges, but that is totally normal! The sea in front of the hotel is very clear. It’s true that it has lots of sea **** on the shore, but it depends on the days and if you walk two minutes to the main beach you find some spots free of sea **** which seem like a tropical place. We also enjoyed the spa which they reserve only for you and has a wonderful view overlooking the sea.

Iniziata per lavoro ...si e' trasformata in una vacanza!!!Non si puo' non godere di una benessere cosi' semplice e allo stesso tempo cosi' raro

Um lixo de hotel! Recepcionista pessima e mal educada! Quartos horríveis e com baratas! Cheiro forte no apartamento! Descaso com os hóspedes! Gerente Valentina, que ficou de aparecer para resolver os problemas, apenas desapareceu! Não gastem dinheiro nesse lugar!

De foto’s doen heel veel verwachten, echter werkelijkheid valt zwaar tegen. Hotel ligt ingeklemd tussen smal strand en een drukke doorgaande weg. Strand is extreem druk vooral in het weekend en kamers zijn voor iedereen bereikbaar, je hebt dus geen enkele privacy. Verzocht om de reservering te annuleren maar er wordt je dan een voucher aangeboden voor de komende 2 jaar mits de kamer alsnog verhuurd wordt.!!!! Alsof je nog eens terug wil komen. Kamers en meubilair is verouderd. Grootste mispeer ooit.
