I didn’t even stay at this dump, and I still regret booking it for my mother-in-law. The second I walked in to check her in, I knew it was a mistake. The front desk attendant was cowering behind bulletproof glass, which should’ve been my first red flag—like, what kind of clientele are they expecting? Then they demanded a $75 deposit, probably because their guests are the type to smash furniture or worse. The room? It reeked of mold and desperation, like a swamp had moved indoors. I took one whiff, saw the grimy walls, and couldn’t get out fast enough. No way was I leaving her there; I’d never forgive myself. We bailed and went next door to the Hampton Inn instead. Night and day difference—clean, safe, and the staff actually smiled like they weren’t afraid for their lives. Do yourself a favor and skip this cesspit entirely. The Hampton’s worth every penny for peace of mind alone.
