Cobblestone Inn & Suites Fort Madison

We stayed at the Cobblestone Inn for a three night vacation to visit Historic Nauvoo and the July pageants. I would recommend three nights or four if this is your first time to this area. We chose the Cobblestone Inn primarily for its five star reviews and proximity to Nauvoo. It did not disappoint and also feel it deserves five stars. It is very clean, well maintained and the beds very comfortable. Service was good including the breakfasts. We understand some reviews were less than five stars because of no elevator. That was not an issue since we always prefer the top floor. Overall, it helped to make our Nauvoo vacation a memorable one.

Discovered the key swipe lock on south side of building did not work. Just a pull on the door gave you entrance, night or day. I was not comfortable with this in the least. Notified the desk clerk who was not aware of this. It was nighttime so she indicated she would let maintenance know in the morning. Thinking it should be standard practice to check they are working properly morning and night. Thanks for giving this your attention!

This was a rather mixed experience. The bed was quite comfortable but so high that I had some difficulty getting into it. My main problem, though, was in the bathroom. The toilet was ridiculously low! I have bad knees and my leg muscles are rather weak, and I was absolutely unable to get up from the toilet without my husband’s help. I used that toilet only once, and after that, I went down the hall to a bathroom that has a handicapped stall with a normal-height toilet and grab bars on the wall next to it. I do not understand why the Cobblestone toilets are so low. If we stay there again, I will certainly need a room whose bathroom is designed for the handicapped. On the plus side, we found the Cobblestone to be very clean and well-appointed, and the food at breakfast was very good.

Excellent room! Clean and well appointed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only issue was that the card stating that room is not serviced every day was a bit hidden and we didn't see it and our room was not serviced the first day. The location is convenient to Fort Madison as well as some tourist locations west of town (pumpkin patch, dairy that makes their own ice cream...)

Our band plays Fort Madison about every 2 months and I always stay here..Nice staff..good hotel breakfast..Rooms are always clean and the water pressure in the shower will make you stand there an extra 5 min. Easy noon check out if you want it.

Nice welcoming lobby, had at least one close restaurant within walking distance which is a must for us after riding motorcycles all day. Comfy beds. Little slow on morning coffee which kept running out even tho we let staff know and the oj machine wasn't right mix..came out as colored water which we also informed staff about

You have the greatest staff working at Fort Madison. They went out of their way for everything. And went above and beyond. Kudos to all of them! They made this a relaxing trip and we were glad we chose your motel. I will recommend this motel to anyone searching for a great stay.

Very clean hotel. Friendly staff. We needed to be out of the hotel very early in the morning for a bike ride, they opened the free breakfast early to accommodate us and a few other guests. There is a wonderful Mexican restaurant very close by (walking distance). My fault I assumed there was a pool but there was not. They did have a nice seating area inside and outside with TV and games.

The rooms were very clean the staff were very good and helpful. Breakfast was very good and clean. The price was competitive for the area. We had a special situation and the staff were very caring and helpful! Only issue didn’t care for the coffee.
