We booked this resort with high hopes. Beach front location, great reviews, on the small side (only 35 units) so it wouldn't be crowded. We weren't looking for much. A nice week on the beach with a place to lay our heads at night. For almost $3200.00 for one week, we did not get anywhere near our money's worth at this location. 4 days before we were due to arrive, I got my confirmation email with THE WRONG DATES. Cue the panic attack. I called the courtesy number and the nice woman on the phone couldn't figure out what had happened but my reservation had changed. I emailed her my original confirmation and she agreed that the dates were different (off by a day) and tried to "fix it" but my dates were no longer available. Not wanting to be stuck in FL with nowhere to stay, she booked us in another room for another $461 dollars. I was beside myself but not angry with her, just upset that this happened and that no one could tell me why. 20 minutes later, our original dates magically became available and were were slotted back in. I was a ball of anxiety until we arrived. Room (suite??) 504 was in sad shape. The shower had hair in it, the slider barely stayed on the tracks and the toilet kept running until my husband fixed it. The postings on the walls said housekeeping was only done every other day and only if you stayed for 4 days or more. Okay, no problem. On day 5, my husband asked at the office if our sheets were ever going to be changed? We got new towels and the trash emptied and that was the extent of the housekeeping. Kinda sandy by this point. They said no, sorry, no staffing. They handed him sheets. Yup, over 400 dollars a night and we changed the sheets ourselves. We aren't looking for high end treatment but to be given sheets and told to do it yourself at 400 dollars a night, well, we were less than impressed. The only saving grace is the location. 1/2 mile walk to Times Square.
