Horrible, horrible experience. Air condition was not working during SUMMER and instead they provided a fan that could not oscillate and was louder than an airplane propeller when turned on. I asked for a refund but they refused. Do not book at all cost.

Everything was clean and working. The room was spacious but too warm, however, calling reception fixed that quickly because they delivered a room sized fan. Parking was very close and a covered loading area was available. There was even a ramp on the stairs for wheeled luggage! Location is great for nearby cafes and tour companies. Breakfast buffet was fine (although the uniformed employee hovering over the self serve area felt like we were being watched instead of monitoring for restocking needs)

We stayed one night at the Heartland Hotel Fox Glacier. The hotel is centrally located and offers plenty of parking. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were clean but small and somewhat outdated. Our room did not quite match the pictures. The amenities were basic, and there was barely enough space to open one standard suitcase, let alone two. Dinner and breakfast were okay but nothing special. The food was somewhat bland and not quite what we had hoped for. For a 3-star hotel, this is generally acceptable; however, we found the value for money to be lacking. During our trip through New Zealand, we stayed in motels and even 4-star hotels that were both cheaper and more modern. For a one-night stopover, the hotel is fine, but it might be worth looking for alternatives if you're after more comfort. Generally, the region is very busy and expensive during the high season, so accommodations tend to book out quickly.

Just stayed the one night to do the helicopter glacier landing flight. Great hotel, easy to find, friendly welcome from receptionist, everything we needed in the room, comfortable bed. Did not eat breakfast or dinner at the hotel so cannot comment on the food.

Stayed overnight on our way to Queenstown. Slept a glorious 13 hours!! Amazing value for what we paid. So, let's be clear, this is not a luxury hotel but it's spotlessly clean and amazing value. It definitely exceeded expectations and the staff were delightful and friendly. A great stopover hotel. Thank you!!

Room was spotless. Bed was comfortable. All the staff made us feel very welcome and were very helpful and obliging. Parking was included. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent and best buffet breakfast we have had. Would highly recommend this Hotel. A must stay if you are at Fox Glacier.

Disappointed. On check (February 28)out we were asked to pay. Produced evidence of payment on check in. Then asked how would we like to pay for the second night, produced evidence of one night booking only. They were not interested in looking at my evidence, only focused on what their system was telling them. I left with an uneasy feeling. A second unauthorised charge for a slightly different amount was made to my creditcard 3 days later (March 2). A Phone call to the hotel (March 6)to clarify why there was a 2nd unauthorised charge to my credit card. No explanation forthcoming. They have apologised for the 2nd payment and said a refund will take 5-10 business days. I'm hoping this will happen but not confident. Awaiting refund.

Average experience given this hotels pricing. The place needs some attention for sure. The positives. It was clean, breakfast was great and bed was comfortable. We had to turn off the in room fridge as it was so noisey. There is very little noise insulation and the bar outside provided loud noise until the fire alarms at 11:30pm. In the morning reception tried to change me a second time for the room and I had to push back for them to realise I had paid and breakfast was include. I’ve experienced mush better than this.
