Extremely Disappointing – Worst Stay of My EU Trip* This was, without question, the worst hotel experience during my entire EU trip. I booked this hotel for my final night, thinking the free airport shuttle would make things easier. Their website clearly states the shuttle picks up at Arrival A1, where I waited for over an hour—no shuttle ever arrived, and there was zero communication or assistance. Took a taxi instead and paid for 35euro. Things only got worse at check-in. I arrived at 4 AM and was met by a receptionist named Errachid, who seemed completely untrained and unsure of what to do. It took nearly 20 minutes for him to figure out how to check me in, and when I politely asked how much longer it would take, his response was, “I can’t fly, I will let you know when it's done”. After more minutes he just put the room card in front of me, No explanation was given about hotel amenities, breakfast, or anything else. The room I was given had a broken AC. I tried calling reception—no answer. I called again at 7 AM and was told a technician would come, but no one ever did. Unprofessional service, lack of communication, and zero accountability. I would strongly advise avoiding this hotel—especially if you’re relying on basic services like transportation or a comfortable stay.

I've travelled more than 100 countries todate and have stayed in more than 15 different hotels in Germany. In terms of service level, the hotel staff during check in wasn't that friendly nor warm at all. The Staff even took deposit on my debit without informing me (she only mention about hotel tax). She only inform me after I noticed EUR80 being deducted and asked her about it. On the day I left on 26th Apr at around 6am, there was only 1 staff at the counter but he was at the crew only counter. He rejected my request to store my luggage with the hotel even though I will be returning in a week's time and check in again on 2nd May. He didn't even bother to check my next booking and simply told me to store it at the airport. The hotel also deducted hotel tax for 2 persons even though I was the only one checking in on 24th Apr. I emailed the hotel about this and agreed to rectify this overcharge (by the hotel) when I check in on 2 May. Unfortunately, I injured my ankle on 28th Apr while travelling around Munich and have not recovered since. As it is very inconvenient for me to drag my big luggage together with an in injured leg (I have been limping), I had to book Hilton hotel which is located much closer to the train station and the airport. Obviously, Steigenberger rejected my cancellation request since the booking is non cancellation. Well, for the sake of my poor ankle, I have no choice but to forgo the close to US$400/- paid upfront to the hotel. But never never again will I ever book this hotel again. Btw, Staff at Hilton and the other hotels I've stayed in the last 1 week were much more friendlier and helpful. Hilton is even willing to store my luggage for 12 days.

Hotel was convenient for travellers who need to catch an early flight the next morning. Room was tidy and clean, and check in relatively straight forward - they have self check-in stations that are useful after hours or when the front desk staff are occupied.

Excellent hotel for stay near Frankfurt international airport for your travel convenience! Shuttle bus provided by hotel every 20 minute ! Room was big and clean ! Service from hotel staff was excellent too ! Highly recommended!
