Wonderful bed and breakfast with lovely staff, impeccable property and superb location. Would highly recommend too anyone looking for a wonderful place to literally feel like home while in the winelands. Staff immediately treats guess as family. Several wineriesbwithin walking distance plus everything the village has to offer. Could not recommend enough and will definitely stafly here again on our next visit!

Avondrood Guest House is everything it was billed to be. As soon as you step in the door, you feel welcome and as if you stepped into someone’s home. You are always greeted with a smile and your every need is taken care of. Karloff was a delight. His stories and knowledge of the area were entertaining and informative. If we ever have a chance to make it back to Franschhoek, we will absolutely stay here. Very convenient to all the shops and restaurants. Thank you!

We stayed at Avondrood Guest House for our family Honeymoon and absolutely loved our time here! Thank you Justin, Juvile and all the friendly and smiley staff for such a warm welcome! The two bedroom Mountain View Suite is incredible. The decor, the private terrace (closed & safe for kids to play) with sunloungers and egg chairs, the best extra king size bed, the gorgeous kids room, the cosy seating area with fireplace, the luxury bathroom (with underfloor heating), the internal staircase to the kitchen where we felt like was our own house and treated like family! Open plan kitchen for breakfast, great buffet selection with complimentary a la carte options!😋 In the town centre, with easy access to the wine tram, restaurants, shops, art galleries and what a view to the mountains!😍 Only 45 minutes from Cape Town Airport, I highly recommend Avondrood and Franschhoek for a couple of nights and we would love to return to Avondrood one day.

This guest house is definitely the number one place to stay in Franschhoek. The rooms are luxurious, the breakfast is superb and the staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful, going out of their way to ensure that our stay was perfect. Also, it is ideally located to join the wine tram, what more could you want?

The Avondrood Guest House is a gorgeous place to stay! We were in the safari room which was beautiful and so spacious. What really makes the place is the service which was unlike I have ever had anywhere. The staff could not do enough for us and made our stay absolutely perfect! Location is great being just a short walk to the wine tram and the bars and restaurants. Parking was very secure behind electric gates.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and couldn't have been more happy. The staff were friendly, helpful and their recommendations on activities and restaurants were spot on. Breakfast quality and choice were both good. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. The grounds and communal areas were lovely. The location was fantastic, walking distance from the wine tram station and the main area for restaurants shops and bars.

Of all the beautiful places we experienced during our trip to South Africa, the charm of this small guest house was at the top of my list. The guest manager was knowledgeable, accessible, helpful and most of all charming and made our short visit to the area superb. Whether dining inside or outdoors at the inn, in the town or at a winery this convenient location and spectacular setting has it all. We LOVED this place.

We spent a perfect three nights at Avondrood with our one year old son. The staff was incredibly accommodating, providing us with a pack and play and a stroller for our stay. We arrived late, but they were there to welcome us with much-needed snacks at 2am! Karloff and Juvile took care of us the whole time and made us feel at home. The hotel is perfectly located within walking distance to town in one direction and a short walk to several wineries and the wine tram. We would love to come back.

Stayed for two nights what an absolute delight room was beautiful large bed lounge room bath shower air-conditioning breakfast was great as well fruits cereals to a full breakfast the staff especially were wonderful, especially Jamie and Karlof who is a wealth of information and local history karlof cooked us a bbq on our second night with salad and a dessert. It was amazing. Well done to you would definitely stay again.
