The exterior of the building gives great hope that the stay will be pleasant and relaxing. In truth it was average at best. The initial welcome from the reception was good and the peek inside a relaxed room with open fire close by gave great hope for the stay. Walking towards the room, the feeling began to rapidly change. The dated look of the corridor and then room was hugely disappointing. Now, to be clear, this was not characterful. It was dated and extremely basic. Dare I say, not the cleanest in certain parts of the room. I booked what was called a luxury double room. I’m still looking for the luxury? Not as much as a coffee machine. Coffee and paper cups in room. Went to get food in the restaurant around 19.45 & was told we could only order 1 course as the kitchen would close soon. A nice welcome 🤥 The food was decent when it came in truth. Crispy pork Danish style with parsley sauce etc. Enjoyed this and was plentiful. Went to reception and asked for an iron & was directed to a laundry room near the pool where an useless non-steam iron and tiny board say for use. Went to the bar for a drink on the last night. Zero atmosphere and again very, very dated. Overall very disappointing experience. Highly unlikely to booked ever again.

IT was a very pleasant expeirence! Great staff, nice small sauna and pool area, good food, and always helpful hands all around. Thank you very much for the warm hospitality. Only point to mention: There was no fresh coffee specialities at the breakfast available, only instant coffee or pre-made coffee in jugs. This seemed off to me, since the food was otherwise noteworthy nice :-) Maybe a coffee machine that can make latte macchiato at the press of a button mught be a nice extension.

Chose this as an alternative to the usual business or city-center hotel – big mistake. It sounds and looks nice at the pictures, however is dated and worn and is not charming at all. I was allocated a room in the lower floors that had been dug out from the ground and thus no view. Complained about the room, but there were not alternatives in this room category. Very soft bed and no AC. Not recommendable.

So why 2/5? Well its because of the breakfast and the room. The breakfast is just poor. Sure the inviroment is beautifull 5/5 but the breakfast is just mediocre. The room then? Well it's stuck in 1972. The two water taps for the shower are hot and cold, and there is bad pressure in them. So you need to be the thief of the safe to get the right temperature. The door to the room has a key and that door locks when it is closed. Which can be a problem when there are no staff at the hotel around the clock. The staff and the food in the restaurant is just great. But for two DINK's it's not enough.

For a 400-year-old hotel, this is in pretty good shape. True, the rooms are on the small side and not overly luxurious, but everything is clean and neat. The breakfast is also very good. They did have a problem with their computer, so we had to check in manually. They compensated for that with free beer, though. How's that for service?!?

Hôtel traditionnel, décoration classique. Ma chambre était petite mais propre. C'est un peu vieillot quand même. Mon poisson était bien présenté mais pas bon. La bière était très bonne. On sent que l'on n'est pas dans un pays de gastronomie... Petit déjeuner pas glop... Au final un peu déçu par le côté désuet. Personnel aimable. Parking facile.
