TownePlace Suites Winchester

This hotel has been recently upgraded and it feels much higher quality than most extended stays and or what the price would suggest. Finally, there was a small issue with my room and the front desk attendant, Emma, was extremely friendly, helpful, and prompt in resolving this for me to make it a great stay.

This is one of the most run-down Marriott properties we have ever stayed at. The outside and inside is more reminiscent of a budget hotel that used to be a brand name hotel, than a current Marriott property. The parking lot had multiple disabled cars in it, there was lots of trash outside and the rooms were, extremely tired and outdated. You don't want to stay here, believe me!

This hotel has seen better days as it seems every surface, even the toilet tank and bed headboard, is marred, scuffed or cracked. But what ruined my stay was the constant noise borne of thin walls and leaky windows. Able to hear traffic on I-81 and each word of strangers' conversations after midnight, and dogs barking at every hour, chased me out before sunrise, groggy. Is it a hotel, or a poorly constructed, old kennel?

Stopped on way to Florida. Close to highway but far enough away to be quiet. Staff is very friendly. Newish property and clean. Bathrooms are small. Towels and bedding good. Full size fridge. Starbucks, grocery store and more close by. Safe overnight spot.

I rate hotels based on my expectations for a hotel in its class. So the excellent rating is based on this being a 3 star property. My partner and I stayed here with our two small children in a two bedroom suite. Our mother in law was in a one bedroom suite with our two dogs. This was a halfway stop during a long distance move. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms and grounds were immaculately clean. The rooms were very spacious for the price and the suites consisted of actual separate bedrooms. We had no issues whatsoever, and would recommend the hotel to others.

We stopped here on our way to TN. It made do for one night, but the hotel is in definite need of some upgrades. The room also had way too much furniture in it for its size. There was barely room to walk. Breakfast was fine, but pretty limited options. The staff was very nice though.

I was on business down the road and found this place very easy to find and get back on the highway from. It's on the edge of town next to a large shopping area with a lot of places to eat and several grocery stores, so that was nice as well, plus it's on the edge of a battlefield with walking trails. The room and hotel was immaculately clean, with a focus on a clean and comfortable room rather than size. Breakfast was quite good for a hotel, hot fresh items instead of a bag of mystery stuff Like I've had in other chains recently. And a full size fridge and small stove was nice as well as I was eating in. The only gripe I have is that the heating was a little hard to adjust, but it's between seasons, once I got it set it was OK; and the fridge was a little close to the bed and hummed a bit, but that was hard to adjust no matter what; I would have rather had the fridge and adjust myself, which I did. I would go back, it was really quite nice and has a friendly staff.
