Great campsite with regards to facilities and the pool. But it’s a bit too crowded and rentals are too close together to our taste. Prepare to run with towel to make sure you have a sun bed 😆

Spent several holidays here, lovely relaxed place in June, pools get very busy in July/August. Large camp with lots to do if you so wish. Special mention to the gym instructor Steve for his wonderful knowledge and professionalism throughout our stay. His friendly nature and excellent sense of humour enhanced my holiday experience. He is a credit to the holiday camp.

Re: Bastidons residences. Lots of updates needed to make stays more enjoyable. Air con, dvd, fridge, hob, radiators

Just back from a week in La Baume (eurocamp) and had a great time overall. Some complaints but mainly we enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend to those thinking of trying it. As first time campers we weren’t sure if we would enjoy it, and travelling with two small kids was no mean feat but it was great. Loads of different pool areas, one particularly great for smaller kids as there was a good shallow section and then one which had a great mini water park for under 7s. Loads of slides and facilities available, kids and husband didn’t stop! Some of the toilet facilities around the pools need updating and more regular servicing however there were plenty close to everything so that’s at least something. There are snack bars and a main restaurant available on site; the food isn’t great, the pizza and chips are probably the only options I would recommend, salad was fine but don’t expect anything fancy! They are great for grabbing a cold drink and an ice cream but If you have a car with you or can get an Uber to the local supermarkets then I’d probably advise to do that for most of your trip. There is a supermarket on site which is handy and has a good range of products including a little bakery which you can grab some fresh pastries from first thing. It is a little on the expensive side though if you were planning on doing big shops. We tried the restaurant one evening but the food wasn’t great, we complained however since the place is ran by students it was a lost cause. The staff were mainly students, most of who had bad attitudes. There were a couple of friendly faces but the rest clearly don’t enjoy their jobs! It’s very off putting in all honesty but you get used to it and realise it’s a them problem! When we arrived it was quite late and as it was our first time there we really didn’t have a clue where to go or what to do. When we went into main reception we were given an info pack and keys and it was like ok bye then.. we had to drag all our stuff to the site in the dark; there is absolutely no help on offer 😅 thank goodness we bumped into some other guests who showed us the way. We were able to get to Fréjus town a couple of times and head to the beach there. We used one of the restaurants beach club facilities which we had to book but was a nice change from the pools (Kazaar). There were loads of restaurants along the town/marina, tip - unless you want to queue outside any of the good restaurants then head slightly earlier than 8pm. We visited ‘La Moule Joyeuse’ and had mussels and steak, our kids had already eaten but they wouldn’t let us order without ordering for them.. the food was good but service not so. Not sure they had tolerance for non French customers! The site also had a circus and a bouncy castle park open over the time we were there. Absolutely great for the kids to burn off energy before bed! And there are several play parks / football pitch / skate parks etc ready to use. My husband and son hired scooters

Huge campsite, really well kept, lovely setting amongst the trees. Great pool options, pity kids can't have an ice pop by the pool while their sun cream top-up dries but that seems to be universal in France not just this site. All facilities are really good with one big exception. The restaurant! Huge site, multiple outdoor and indoor pools, slides, toddler water park but only 1 restaurant. This might be okay if the restaurant was functioning well, but it is not. After our 1st visit we gave them the benefit of the doubt (we had waited 1 hour after asking for the bill before walking up to the desk and paying directly) so we went again. Our 2nd visit was worse. The table behind us were seated after us and were paying their bill before our food had arrived. It appeared like no one was managing the operation. The servers we had were perfectly nice and I'm sure just seasonal staff anyway but there seemed to be no organisation or order to the place. I should note there are pool adjacent bars serving snacks /fast food buy only one restaurant you would get dressed for.

We booked through Eurocamp in one of their Premium mobile homes. It was great to arrive to find our accommodation was clean and in good order (we had a very poor experience last year at another campsite). We were lucky with our plot (No.748) that it had plenty of space to park our car as having walked around the campsite it seems that the plots in general (not just Eurocamp) are hit and miss in terms of size and space to park your car off the road. The Eurocamp team were fantastic. We had one small maintenance need and it was resolved very quickly. The campsite is kept clean and tidy. The site is very big and busy. There are two parts to the site as a whole - La Baume and La Palmeraie. Everyone can use facilities at both sides. The pools at both were great and kept clean and the lifeguard team were friendly. There are bars at each side but have to say the bar at La Baume is a bit disappointing and could do with a re-vamp. It felt a bit forgotten and the staff didn't seem to be paying much attention to keeping tables clean etc. We usually like to go for a drink after swimming or in the evening but we didn't feel encouraged to do so at this bar so only went once. It's a shame as with some investment the bar could be a real highlight. It just wasn't a nice bar area to be in. Although we didn't indulge in the evening entertainment it seemed to start very late - 11.30pm. There is only 1 restaurant at La Palmeraie and you can't book - we didn't eat here but there seemed to be queues a lot which also put us off. The takeaway was good and very reasonable price. The site shop is well stocked and fine for topping up alongside visits to the hypermarket. We did purchase wifi for the 2 weeks we were there but it was hit and miss and I wouldn't recommend purchasing. The site is very secure. Location is great - easily onto the autoroute to get around, the only downside is that as a keen runner, there was less option for good routes due to the main roads locally but that is a minor issue. I would say you need a car at this site due to the location. There is a great Auchan Hypermarket nearby. Overall a good campsite and a great area to be in.
