Rook Lane House

Wow what a hidden gem great place to stay great host spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious the room was beautiful the building is steeped in history. This is by far one of the best bed and breakfasts we have ever stayed in we will definitely be back kind regards John and Anna Barton

So happy we found Rook Lane House for our stay in Frome. Claire was very welcoming and a fantastic host. We arrived early and were able to park at the house (a huge benefit in Frome) before heading out to explore the town. The house has been beautifully and tastefully renovated and our room was lovely - and huge! Super comfy bed and thoughtful touches like fresh milk. Breakfast was delicious, had to be a full English but lots of other choices too, in a gorgeous dining room - make sure to check out the priest hole! We loved it and are looking forward to coming back to stay!

We visited in March 2024! The host could not have been more welcoming and hospitable! It felt like being welcomed into their house (in all the best ways possible). The history of the building is amazing - that being said, the rooms are very modern, clean and spacious! There is a lovely variety of breakfast items both on the menu and a selection of cereal, toast and fruit! The full English was so nice that I had it twice! Located in Frome, we were blown away by the brilliant town centre and variety of pubs and restaurants! We visited over my birthday (visiting the spa at Centre Parcs) - a family member had called in advance and arranged for a bottle and some sweet treats to be in my room. The host really did go above and beyond to make our stay a 10 out of 10. Thank you! If we are ever passing through Frome, we will stay again

Everything about our stay was perfect. Claire the owner was so nice, our double bedroom was lovely and peaceful and breakfast was great. We would definitely recommend Rook Lane House for a stay in the pretty town of Frome. Great location, with walking distance from train station.

My daughters and I received a very warm welcome from Claire and we all fell in love with the beautiful house, so full of character including a priesthole! Our rooms and bathrooms were very comfortable and very clean. In the morning we all enjoyed a delicious full English breakfast before setting off for a walk around lovely Frome. Will certainly stay again when we get a chance

Gem of a hotel. Claire was an amazing host even before we arrived. The house has so many original features...every dining room should have a Priest hole. The room was immaculate, great shower, the bathroom was spotless and the breakfast was perfect. Would highly recommend.

We enjoyed a great stay at Rook Lane B and B! The building has a lot of history and has a good mix of original features with sympathetic renovation. Claire was really helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast choices were good with refills of tea and coffee. We would definitely stay again.

My wife and I stayed for 1 night as travelling around the area So glad we did and if we were able would have stayed a week Fab hotel steeped in history Fab comfortable room,clean and amazingly beautiful. But overwhelming the star of our stay was Claire our host. She is amazingly a 🌟 Our room was brilliant and cozy Breakfast was fab Would definitely go again

Fabulous stay and we were made to feel extremely welcome by our host even before we arrived! The room was clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast was superb and the location makes it an ideal place to explore Frome. We would definitely book again!
