La Palma Princess

What a good find over Easter all inclusive, for 2 Adults and 1 child with seats on the plane just over £1800. Situated on a cliff top with stunning views over the Atlantic Ocean. The transfer over was in the dark with very windy roads and lots of hair pin bends so if you suffer from travel sickness take supplies. Rooms are in blocks of 3 floors not good if your not mobile or unfit as no lifts and on a hill you certainly keep fit. The hotel has 7 pools and 1 is heated, this one was always busy with no sunbeds but to be honest the others were fine once you were in and plenty of sunbeds available. Towels are from the Spa and you get one free change per week. Rooms are spacious and clean and have a bath, we requested a twin room with sofa bed but got a double with sofa bed, we asked for the beds to be split, they coukd be we looked, we just needed single duvets but no one came Gardens were beautiful and well cared for with lots of cacti and a fish pond area Great walk around the perimeter of the hotel which took in great views. The walk to the beach took about 25 mins along the banana plantations There were 2, restaurants for breakfast and lunch, we choose the cliff top one for breakfast as quieter albeit less choice Drink is mainly self service for cokes, wines, beer etc Tui rep in reception 9.30 - 2.30 most days are v helpful. Great pianist and good entertainment choices Courtesy room was a fail on last day as no fresh towels, not been cleaned, last people had dumped their towels all over the place along with general rubbish

We have stayed at this hotel several times, one thing that always keeps us coming back is the beautiful and mesmerising Sylvia (Pianist). The music she plays on the piano is just angelic. We could listen to her all day. She’s an asset to the hotel.

We have just got back from a 7 night stay at la palma princess now when we booked tui told us this is rated 5* they never mentioned their official rating is 4* however we have a pleasant stay the entertainment team were fantastic and are the foundation of keeping the place lively the food is good however a lot we found was cold but it wasn’t a massive issue but it is good quality food also the room we got was on 3rd floor and there is no lift so this hotel deffinatly is not ideal for disabled people or people with illnesses that can’t climb stairs very well the setting is beautiful however extremely remote with nothing for miles you will need to take a bus or hire a car is probably the best option the grounds are superb always kept clean and tidy and well maintained however on check out today there was only 1 member of staff and she was rather rude she never said have a safe trip home or anything she just said bye which to me is rude but I can oversee that but I think people should be aware would I stay again probably not and that’s not because of the hotel it’s an amazing hotel it’s just how remote it is wasn’t ideal for me but if that’s what you like go for it the hotel itself is superb

We were slightly concerned after reading some reviews but there really was nothing to worry about. The hotel is in a great location and is well served by the local bus. There are plenty of walks to do and the scenery is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and cleaned very well every day, the grounds are also spotless and very pretty. There are queues to enter the restaurant but this moves along quickly so is not a big deal. The food is not the most exciting, it is also repetitive and there are always queues for the coffee machines. The self service drinks work fine, water, wine and beer. There is awlays Cava on ice too. There are plastic cups by the water dispensers or take your own water bottle. The drinks/cocktails on the AI option are very limited, insread the usual options you have to pay extra for. The pools are amazing and there are plenty of sunloungers. The gym is fantastic, it has more equipment than the one I go to at home. There two shops on site so you can buy anything you may need. We had a great time.

The pictures of this place look great and the pool itself is very picturesque area however ensure your children have footwear on when round the pool as the tiles even with the tiniest amount of water are very slippy and children go down. big place with nothing much to do, unless you’re into following the keep fit crew unless you take your keep fit gear and you are proactive yourself in finding out what they’ve got on and when they don’t bother coming round to tell you. that’s a big place in a cut-off location and it’s shame that they could really utilise a space that they have to invite local craft people to sell their wares and indeed one of the empty spaces that they have they could have their own shopping mall. food was hit and miss sometimes the breakfast chef couldn’t be bothered to cook the pancakes on both sides so one side was raw other times they were clearly using frozen veg and that was presented cold at the buffet stupid long cues for certain items of food so you were kind of expected by other holiday makers to stand in the damn queue even though you wanted something else the worst experience was the broken glass that was scattered around the place with a significant amount in the children’s disco for which the management were completely blasé about and when they tell you on here that they clean they certainly don’t, our family group was a my daughter who had cancer, grandma who is nearly 70 with a baby trolley for which they put us first floor up where there is no lift, the paths are uneven causing my daughter to fall over in the dark and tipped the trolley up with Baby in it I would definitely say that this is not a platinum destination Tui and the hotel do not take these complaints seriously because the glass was a real issue and contravened any health and safety policies. Yes if you don’t like heights the route to the place is white knuckle ride lol

Beautiful location, very good accommodation, helpful staff. Lovely weather at around 23c. Plenty of activities if you want them. Pool aquasize was great with Fabio. Fabio also played piano in the lounge, he's excellent. I have mobility issues and was given a ground floor room across the square from the main restaurant. The most beautiful sunsets! Rooms well cared for. Things to improve are arrival check in. They could use a better method..up to 45 minutes wait. They have provided water since previous reviews. The online check in just wouldn't take the passport photos. It is remote, there's nowhere to walk to but it didn't matter to us, we wanted to relax. Had 2 TUI trips out. The north island was great. The whale boat trip was horrendous. Check out the weather first. It seemed nice sunny calm weather but the ocean was not!
